Yes, as it wasn't a Welshman it had to be someone from Patagonia I'd love to go there some day, hearing Welsh spoken somewhere half way across the world would be amazing and they still have Eisteddfodau (arts festivals) so very much keeping Welsh language traditions alive.
Well I never. Learn something new everyday and that is a peach. Liked him, top quality player, always hurt England teams when he played.
I guessed it would be a trick question and he'd be Patagonian....just didn't know any players from there.
That has got to be one the best films ever made... Might have to watch it again! I’ve not seen it in a few years...
Funnily enough , I watched it just a few days ago . On another tread I came out with the Z's dead baby , and just HAD to watch the film again
A Real shame if Salah does miss the WC. Anyway, Liverpool`s loss is all down to Klopp - he`s persisted in playing his compatriot, probably because he was his man. He`s had plenty time to sort the keeper situation out and hasn`t done it. BTW, Danny Ward who is 3rd choice was at Aberdeen on loan a couple of years ago, and is very good.
One of the things over the years, I've often found I had a sort of "must see" list of players. Batistuta was on my list. Got to see him play for Fiorentina in a CL game against Man U. My Man U supporting daughter was happy as United won 3-1but my evening was made by a 30 yard screamer from Batistuta that swerved and curled so much the keeper had no chance of reading it. Did the boring dad bit on way home and told my daughter she'd just seen a football legend. "Yes, dad" she replied in that "dad, you are a complete bellend" way that daughters have.
"Yes, dad" she replied in that "dad, you are a complete bellend" way that daughters have. Yeah, I hear that. Took my daughters to Finland to see the Aurora. Upon witnessing one of the most spectacular displays, I said a similar thing, and they looked at me like, yeah, its kinda green and purple dude, whatever. I told them in some years to come, they'd realise just how special that moment really was. But, I'm not holding my breath!
Just pull Wembey down and build affordable housing on the site. There are many better grounds in the country that can easily host Cup Finals and England Internationals.
I have actually been there - Rawson is one of the main towns in that vicinity. Didn´t hear any Welsh being spoken but there was a memorial to the Welsh who landed there in around the 1840s, and rugby is played there.
This must be a first where last season´s three relegated teams get promoted back at the first attempt. I feel Sunderland might need two attempts to get back up, but they will.
