    yup not easy.

    for me.

mingolet. depends on him and if he wants to play or not. giving him a 5 year deal then dropping him suggests silliness on our part.

karius. low wages. back up. no issue there.

Moreno. very average prem wages at 40k. easy to shift. one year left on deal.

lallana. won't be sold. wages too high. klopp likes him.

ings. fit and a worker. 55k wages. no issue for most of prem. there will be a queue.

origi. shocking attitude. low wages. there will be a taker but it won't be a great deal for us.

sturridge. mill stone.... only a moron would even look now. 1 year left.

markovic. low wages another shocking attitude 1 year left.

klavan.. reserve. might want to play a full season or two before retiring, this was his big contract. has shown he could do a job but i dont know if a deal coyld be found for him.

Matip. not that bad. needs a long hard look at himself and his attitude to defending after fa cup debacle. he's a better defender than lovren.

    yup.

mane went to right side but sat really deep. lallana never came up in the line so there was zero press. the midfield dropped right off as well.

varane and modric for me showed real quality. they were brilliant. no other real player really impressed.

in short we surrendered the pitch to them and they needed a stupid error to score but a goal was always always coming once we stopped playing.

lfc have done this several times now and simply put it must be eradicated from the team.

I agree our midfield is very very average there and given it showed how badly we missed ox for the past month or so it shows how average.

it shows why we are sniffing fekir. and why kieta is coming.

but it also shows when you are a goal or two down and leave solanke on bench... we didn't even try change it as we knew he would be eaten alive.

we went into game with one idea and no options so we were at end of road but that's ok. you can't keep going to the well and hoping nothing goes wrong.

You’ve developed a way of playing this season that relies on the ability and pace of one man. Remove him from the side and it simply doesn’t work, you’ve got no ‘plan b’.

Your players know this and their body language after he went off was telling, Klopp looked bemused as well imo. He’d have been better served sticking Solanke on as a central striker and pushing Firmino out wide imo, as Lallana wasn’t match fit and offered **** all.

Karius is the fall guy, but for me you were going to lose that game the moment Salah went off. A real shame for the lad btw, and even harsher if he ends up missing the WC, after such a brilliant season that’s extremely unfortunate.

So I will make my wild prediction. This upcoming season(2018/2019) will be Klopps last and he will not be in charge of Liverpool come the first game of the 2019/2020 season - sacked or will jack it in.

Not seen the game, at a wedding. Robertson seems to be the only one who offered some sort of support for the keeper

look it's not just salah pace. he has deceptive strength and the ball can be tossed up to him and he will get on it and hold it and bring others up to him.

    he is always running behind.

for me mane is not that but he tried everything he had. he doesn't run behind and was far too deep. just the way it is.

I agree on not putting lallana in but at 1-1 or 1-2 the option was there to haul off lallana and just go wide and cross and try hem in real

I reckon salah will be ok for wc.. it's either a rotator cuff or a stinger and for me I reckon he will be fine.

it is what it is.. **** happens. I was amazed we got in at half time 0-0 and frankly us equalizing was brilliant but we had nothing left. nothing.

They left him crying on the turf for minutes after the whistle. The only consolation he got was from the Madrid players. He then went to the Liverpool fans and apologised in tears. You had to feel for the lad in fairness. I’ve never seen a bigger **** up in a major final as bad as his first boob, the second wasn’t far behind it though.

    what can you do eh?

you just made imo the worst ever mistake seen in a final by a keeper EVER and then a schoolboy error on a routine save.

    what can you do.

but there are a few with agendas in the media trying to make out it shows we are not a team at all and we "left him to walk alone"

Maybe sometimes a lad needs a few minutes. they were all dissappointed and had to pull themselves together.

seems fairly appropriate since i've "lost" one <laugh>

PS you may well have to remind me some time next season as my memory is pretty flakey.

Ok. Goalkeeper needs to be replaced. Lovren has improved with VVD beside him, but I still think we need someone new.

Wijnaldum serves a purpose, but he shouldn't be anywhere in the first team. He's a great backup but we're not winning anything with him in the first team.

With Fekir and Keite coming in, I think we've plugged a number of holes.

Get a good defensive mid, a CB and a Keeper and stop there. We could improve depth elsewhere, but let's just focus on that for now. Quality over quantity.

I can tell you now if we only do that we will be out of top 4 as we only have 3 forwards.

we rested players around Christmas this year and it did help. we need the players.

Of course not. We would be better than now and no worse off. I think we're more likely to move backwards if we try replacing half the team in one go.

Lovren is so bloody frustrating. He was brilliant last night but we all know there's a **** up looming too

    GK, CB, FW + Keita

Sell Sturridge, Mignolet, Origi, Markovic and Klavan plus whatever finge/young players aren't up to scratch.

Promote a few kids up to fill the squad out.

Don't need a complete overhaul, just a few quality signings. Fekir can start midfield or cover forwards like Coutinho did. CB to start but that gives Lovren/Matip as backup which is good. GK to start and Karius can be sub for a while. Keita pushes Ox or Gini to the bench which is also a good position.

That’s a new spine to the team. I could understand Everton or a club like spurs that don’t win trophies....but Liverpool?
