Ramos was a dirty b@stard before the match. He's still a dirty b@stard. Mo was just unlucky that when he was pulled to the ground that he fell like he did. 99 times out of 100 he gets up and continues to play. You guys have had a hard time recently but light at the end of the tunnel after the sale I guess? It should certainly put our loss into perspective!
unlucky lads , game changed after salah went off, as yous will well know by now. ramos ,well the man is a born cheat . a woman when he gets fouled . just not a sportsman ,but a dirty cheat .that do anything to win . media should of been jumping on this a lot more i think .. unlucky .
Hard to take when one of your players basically gifts the game to the opposition. To make matters worse Salah was stretched off so early with a freak incident. I guess the only crumb of comfort is you wasn't played off the park and got a battering. You'll come back stronger next season with a renewed confidence that you know you can mix it with the best and with some new players, one of which has to be a new keeper.
The tackle by Ramos on Salah was fair enough, but the calculated landing by Ramos on Salah wasn't, the little wink to his teammate when the TV camera focused on him as Salah went off spoke volumes. Karius is not good enough for LFC, we need a consistent keeper that is capable of focusing for the entire game, it must be hard for our attackers to graft their bollocks off only to see their efforts ****ed up, but Jurgen has faith in him and he played for Klopp's old club Mainz. But it's time to take the sentimentality away and strengthen our keeper position.
Not even upset tbh. The way the game played out, it was just taken away from us really and didnt get a good go at it, which is a shame.
It took us more than a year to sign a left back after Moreno cost us the europa league final - luckily Milner could do a job. Klopp made one bad signing with Karius - no shame in that, but he needs to rectify it before it ends up costing him his job (not saying he should be sacked - far from it) - there's only so much time that you can survive on performances and promise alone. Results are the bottom line.
As a neutral that is probably the most tragic that we couldn't see Liverpool in full flight. The Karius errors and Salah injury knocked the stuffing out if the game. Real have been very good for the past few years but boy have they had shed loads of luck.
Only a matter of time before you win something. You play some of the best football in Europe and that won't go unrewarded.
I agree with those tweets. 66% possession, more shots, more on target, more corners. After Salah was subbed there was only one winner
I don't really think there was a 'better team' last night. It's part of the disappointment that the game just didn't develop after Salah's injury. The whole thing lost impetus and was decided by catastrophic errors. Such a shame, we started so promisingly.
for me it's all about attitude and fortitude. I was frankly amazed we got in at half time at 0-0 when salah went off we fell apart. there's not denying that. we did. we couldn't string a pass together. in the second half we came out nervy again and taa almost gave one away but we rode that and were again just scraping by. when karius ****ed it I thought we showed fortitude and got a bit of luck from a corner. just briefly we played the game we should have been playing all along. it lasted 5 mins and we sat off again. in short we didn't give ourselves a chance to play. credit to bale for a one in a million. he went for it. if you look at it. a) we had a shot in first half off taa. navas knew faff all about it but it stuck to him like glue. that's luck. b) another day isco scores that open goal it's just about what goes for who and sadly karius absolutely threw two goals in. two absolute gifts to a side of quality so we lost. we have this fragility about us where ever it is. back line sat too deep. midfield did. we have seen it lots on occasions this season like Roma twice like city at Anfield that ended 4-3. we stop playing, retreat and lose. this is the one thing that must end not buy this or that imo. it's mentality to win. if we had 11 worldies and that attitude we would likely still lose.
Morning Fellas bit disappointed this morning as once Salah went off we stopped playing our game . How much of that was down to us and how much to RM suddenly gaining confidence is difficult to take. Positives - the defence , Mane also thought Wijnaldum had a pretty good game Negatives - Firm was a bit off it last night , Lallana had zero impact and the GK didn't have his best day imho . Just have to keep reminding myself of my reaction at start of season to top 4 & CL final. Plus we weren't overwhelmed by RM. PS did i mention i already loathed Ramos , the snide little ****e , & all he stands for.ad last night just reinforced that view .
My thoughts now that the emotion has settled. I haven't watched it back and won't be torturing myself by doing that. Losing Salah set the tone, we didn't have enough of a threat without him. I'm not saying he's everything but he's an integral part of a machine that was working very well, without him RM were able to get control of the game which is what made the result almost a certainty regardless of the following mistakes by the keeper. Football can be a funny game though and who knows it may have gone our way if they hadn't happened. I'm not going to lay into Karius for one reason and that was his reaction, the man was devastated and went to the fans and apologised. He's not good enough though and need to be replaced. I'd like to say we've had a great season but you have to downgrade that to good with getting 4th our only achievement and we have to be better than that.
in the end mental fragility is still an issue. karius didn't set out to do what he did but he still did it. what can you do. we had ox out. can wasn't fit. lallana imo was nowhere near the level to come.on after 30 odd mins. coutinho left in Jan. now we did miss coutinho there last night and a few times during last week's. we had a great run.but we in the end did look tired in the last.month and the front 3 had no cover. that's just the way it was but we got to the final on a great run and fot 4th so now it's all a out the future and what to do next.
