That's impressive stuff...it's a shame about his injuries...imagine how good he would be. Unfortunately, tonight's performance has blown any dream we had of getting him
So could be on his second contract now then, 100% rise seems a lot though. In truth I have no idea of his current wage but his first contract was £150k/week.
For years it was Pele or Maradonna and now it's Ronaldo or Messi. This boy trumps the lot of them for me. He controlled games like noone else. And we share a birthday
Yeah you're probably right. The weirdest thing is, despite his incredible success at Real along with tonight's unreal cameo, the Real fans probably haven't even seen him at his upmost best like we did in his final season due to all of the injuries he's had. The moment he seems to pick up in form he picks up an injury to go along with it. They've seen flashes of brilliance but nothing consistent enough over the course of a whole season. When he's fully fit and injury-free, there's very few better.
Hey, wait a minute. Isn't it the league that counts? The best team over 38 games and all that? As opposed to one game where the opposition keeper chucks two goals into his own net? Seems to me that the god Zizu didn't do all that wel there...
One piece of brilliance they did see in his first season with them (I think it was the Copa del Rey final) was when he knocked the ball right down the touchline then ran off the pitch to speed past the defence to reach the ball then score a great goal, I will never forget the pace and power of that one.
Everyone ignoring @PISKIE Like **** he went to Canada, eh, lads! You can come out of your mum's cupboard, now, mate.
Well... that's exactly the problem isn;t it. Don't get me wrong I loved seeing Bale playing for Spurs. And that final season under AVB, well ****, he made AVB look good, end of story. But I feel now it would be the wrong move. We need experienced players who can push us past that last hurdle one who is injured for most of the season while being paid the highest wages isn't going to do it...
Apart from the final he got to...and the semi final...oh and the other semi final...so you are right ... apart from s final and 2 semi finals Pochettino never gets nowhere near a final
I seriously can't get over how poor Van Donk was last night, I mean I wasn't expecting him to do anything but he was truly awful. A Liverpool corner just hit him in the face at one point. He's just a fat sweaty lesbian.
