Underdogs, thin squad, rubbish goalkeepers, dodgy defence coming into the game. Take your pick. Frankly its astounding we've made it this far
I thought overall we played well. Real had the ball a lot but we defended well, the back four, I thought, were superb. the midfield broke a lot of their play up and our attack was looking sharp till Mo got injured. one world class goal and two **** ups cost us in the end but I don't think we outclassed. just a quick thought...Ronnie looked a bit slower and he didn't have a big influence on the game, has his time passed?
Liverpool just another PL franchise outfit with a bunch of individuals picking up huge sums of money. Sums it up when a distraught team mate is consoled by the opposition. Zero team spirit just individuals out for as much cash as possible.
Anyone seen @astro ?, I worry about the little guy on nights like tonight. Still, I expect he will be back in a couple of days to explain how the #bentasfuck ref cost you the game.
He was rubbish, had that one shot when he should have crossed. Think the defence did a really good job on him, closed him down quick and didn't let him run.
Just got in and haven't read back, and I don't think I'll bother. Overall we weren't too bad, though lacking in invention a little. Good goal from the Chimp but two awful mistakes from the Chump. We were always going to be up against it once Mo was off, though Mané did his best. Felt sorry for Karius at the end - he was clearly gutted and I don't know how he'll respond to this. We really need to make a vast improvement in this position, I can't see him ever being good enough.
I don't watch foreign leagues much, but whenever I've seen Ronnie this season he's ranged from average to anonymous.
Can't see him having the steel to get over it, the 3rd goal is a symptom of the 1st. imo LFC career over. We'll never win anything without a good keeper and he just isn't it.
What's annoying is RM weren't all that great. Losing Salah was a ****ing bitch and I do believe they were planning on taking him out because he was our major threat. And so that's exactly what happened. Gutted for him and Ramos should be ****ing horse-whipped. Overall, I felt we turned up. Lovren played well, solid defending, but Firmino was disappointing. What was also worrying was the lack of choice on the bench. Karius, well. Marginally better than Mignolet, but still total ****. Those errors were frankly unforgivable and unacceptable at this level.
I insisted this was the game to keep Modric and Kroos quiet. If you let them jave thier way they will **** you up. Only consolation is you can see where the investment is going with Keita and Fekir to come. Out midfield was exposed for what it is.
Yeah he's been quiet, only 22 league goals but he didn't really start scoring until January so not a bad return I suppose.
Klopp has persevered with him long after we all thought he was crap. Wouldn't say he's definitely gone. Klopp isn't going to sell Karius and Mignolet in the same window and Klopp obviously likes Karius more of the two. We really need a new #1, but I bet Karius stays even if only as a backup. Fortunately, this is end of the season. If this happened in middle of season it would take months to get over.
Liverpool never got to the final because they are a rubbish team,,,They are a much improved team under Klopp and will get even better this season coming and i hope the final will be the same two teams where i think the result will be reversed.....Salah was the player that Madrid were scared of and they needed to nullify him asap and they did. Once they got rid of him they knew they had a better chance of winning.......You can't take nothing away from Bale when he came on as he was fantastic, But i can't help thinking what would be the outcome if Salah played the full 90 minutes...
