It would make a lot more sense for them to cash in and sign 3 players instead.

Yes they could, but if i was in charge of Fulham, id rather keep him than take the risk of buying three lesser players. Their owner has a few bob anyway, im sure they will spend now they are in the premier league.

    Alex Telles it is, then...

Meanwhile, here's Benjamin Pavard doing exactly what we want our centre backs to do

Don't tell Diego there might be a Levy clause
which means we make money if Bale returns to
    another PL club ...

Yes there was..we get informed of any offer made for Bale and can match it...rest up to the player obviously.

Maybe it was just me but he played with a care free attitude tonight...was out to enjoy it...tried the over head..went for the long range effort, I think he's definately on the move. His post match interview was quite telling too.

I honestly believe Levy will try and bring him back. But what we’ll offer will be nothing like his current package making it almost impossible.
However, in the extremely unlikely case that he is prepared to come back to our new stadium and £100k a week + bonuses because he’s already won everything, we may just stand a chance. But when does this ever happen?! He’s literally just scored arguably the best goal in a CL final ever, and clubs will be queueing up for his signature, which will completely **** us.
But at the same time, who would he want to sign for? I can’t imagine him going to City, who already have an abundance of quality, and he’s already making comments about getting game time.
And surely the thought of going into that united side under mourinho is nothing short of painful.

I get the feeling that he would probably love to sign for us again and we’d take him back in a heartbeat, but it’ll be disappointment all round, sadly.

If he gets a chance to talk with Poch I think he'll be back. At Citeh he'd be
An impact sub. He might fancy Manure but why sign for a team who will probably change their manager as soon as the wheels start falling off.
The dildo bros will probably offer him a million a week to try to piss us off but he's got more class than that.
He'd walk straight into the goons, chavs or the mousers so any of those are possible but longshots.

In general, Harry Redknapp gets a lot of stick for his comments, but he’s always stated that Bale is a family man and is extremely grounded. Harry’s not known for keeping quiet, and has even said he should come back to spurs. That may be his opinion, or may be a hint that he knows something we don’t know.

You never know, but maybe we’ll see the true colours of the person that Harry Redknapp speaks about. It’ll say a lot if he’s happy to accept a deal to come back to us, proving that the lad does just want to play football, and genuinely loves the club.

The potential squad rotation at city with the volume of attacking players at their disposal will make him question that move. Well, it should do anyway after the CL interview comments.
United may have finished second and be a huge club, but there isn’t a massive appeal at the moment. Their style of football is horrendous, mourinho has sucked the life out of the fans, and all but alienated some very talented players. Despite this, I think it’s his most likely destination, but you have to wonder why.

We don’t believe you, Gareth. Prove it! <whistle>

  15. The 'Bale Return?' saga is a Spurs fans worst nightmare...... Quite a few positives to support the move, but an overarching reality that it can't and won't happen. And that's before you factor in whether Poch wants him and DL will pay the necessary - the deciding factors!

May be proved wrong but I don't think he will will just follow the money, he's got unbelievable wealth from his career so far. So Citeh, PSG or a Chinese vacation are not likely destinations.

And being a part-time player, even in the best club side in the world clearly doesn't motivate him.

If he wants to become a club legend somewhere, then a rotated role won't provide that either, not with only 3/4 years at peak performance - and that's provided he doesn't get sidelined through repeat injuries.

You just know it won't happen, but if the stars are aligned and he thinks he can survive on £150k per week plus bonuses, then maybe, just maybe......

It's the hope that gets you! <yikes>

Levy will want to make a huge marquee signing for our return home and Bale knows that he played his best football for us. There's no point him signing for Manu whilst Mourinho is there; the style (or lack thereof) wouldn't suit his game. Chelsea and Arsenal wouldn't even cross his mind (are you reading this Judas?) and at City he would be a part-timer, much like at Real. That, realistically, leaves us and Liverpool.

As I said on the other thread, it depends what happens to Ronaldo after his comments last night, too.
If bale stands more chance of first team football where he is due to Ronaldo leaving, we may not even see him back in the premier league at all.

I know we’re still talking about a huge weekly wage if he were to rejoin us, but seeing him take a substantial pay cut to come back and play for us in our new stadium, would slightly restore my faith in football somewhat. It would prove that he does just want to play football and his comments about spurs were genuine.

Quite simply, if there’s any chance he would come back to us it has to be pursued. He s still world class - a game changer as he was when he was with us.
