Different players mate, although Lallana hasn't been the same since his injury. He may never be as good as he was.
About 5 mins before Bale came back on I said to the Mrs I can see Bale coming on and scoring the winner ... then moving to Manchester Utd to rub salt into the wound! What a great first goal for him; and audacious chance for the second given a freebie by the ‘keeper.
Agreed he hasn't. Needs to be fit for a few months and played in his best position. What an unbelievably talented bench at Zidane's disposal. Liverpool have been a tad unlucky but they don't look anything special without Salah.
And they had very little on the bench. If Klopp stays I reckon they will win this again soon, as will City. Perhaps a season or two early for them.
It does look mighty suspicious but slo mo can distort things. However I am surprised by the fact that given the amount of cheating or should I call that 'game management' we have all seen him do for years in games televised from 57 different angles that FIFA have not done something about it yet. He also managed to get Mane booked by feigning a blow to the head, having waited for him to make the tackle in the first place.
Or better still, play for us? Wait a minute though. He would never do anything like that for us because really talented players seem to be cursed when they come to LR.
Although he has evoked a lot of sympathy, I haven't seem enough close ups of his face to be able to judge whether it is genuine. Most of the shots I've seen his head is buried in the ground or in his shirt and when his face is revealed there don't appear to be any tears streaming down his face or evidence of any real emotion. I realise not everyone shows distress in the same way but I have to say, Lovren, Milner and other players' emotions seem to me to be completely genuine whereas Karius seems to me to be putting it on. Happy to be proved wrong about this. But difficult to see how he can come back from this if they were genuine howlers by him.
