Friendly Fulham & Liverpool will do me. Don't think l could stomach after-game celebrations of Ronaldo & Terry prancing around looking for a mirror.
And that Didley about sums it up, as footballers you can’t fault them, but as human beings both are thoroughly detestable!!
Yep. Fulham for the sake of Traveller who seems a good fella and Liverpool because they are our home team as far as this game goes.
I'm certainly in the Fulham camp:- 1) Fulham are the better footballing team. 2) Tommy Docherty, Ron Saunders, John Terry. I'm not certain which one of those I detest the most! 3) The West Midlands police drawing their batons to stop us celebrating on the pitch with the players in 1968. 4) Two less games to be moved for Sky next season! 5) Konk. A Fulham fan who is a regular poster on LFW. I also want Liverpool to win but I'm struggling to envisage it!
Fulham on the basis that John Terry plays for the other lot and Liverpool because they are an English club. It's been getting more difficult to be in the Liverpool camp all week, though, thanks to the BBC's fawning over them. Liverpool fans are not unique and they are not the best in the world.
Fulham as can't stand villa and Terry. Don't care whether Liverpool win or lose, there is no patriotism for me when it comes to club football.
Understand Terry is utterly detestable but not sure Ronaldo deserves that, very vain but he's a philanthropist isn't he?
With the help of a tranquilizer in the form of some beverage I will be supporting Fulham and Liverpool for the day.
Fulham just because of the Terry factor and I don’t care who wins CL it’s a Mickey Mouse contest (how can you be champions of Europe if you’re not champions in your own country?)
Fulham and Pool for me too. Preferably a Terry own goal before he organises his own 26th minute substitution. However, if Fulham stay down they won’t be nearly as strong next year whereas Villa will throw huge sums at it again.
Mmm....agree really Terry. But Ronaldo? That seems very unfair to me. Vain and self obsessed maybe, but a model professional who has immense dedication to his trade and who is pushing to be the greatest player of all time statistically. I want Liverpool to win but fear Ronaldo will steal the glory. Don't really care about the other game.
Phenomenal player without a doubt. He and Messi are arguably the absolute best of all time. Just a massive ego trip too and Madrid are very much the “establishment”. You need to win by two or three to win by one.
I’m in agreement. Ronaldo may love himself, but he is a model pro. And he gets the results and consistency over a long period of time. And I don’t care for either of the other teams (Foolham or Villians) - but I do really despise Terry!!
I'm going to be at Wembley. My niece works in the Fulham box office and had a spare ticket and begged me to go with her. I reluctantly agreed as she couldn't find a Fulham fan who didn't have a ticket. I feel really uncomfortable about doing this. Mrs Nines is also going as all her family are Ruperts. We're not sitting together, which adds another touch of oddness to the day.
With Ronaldo it’s as much the fawning press, commentators and tv crews as it is his massive ego. I hate that whatever happens, the tv will show him for his reaction, and the commentators will gush into their tissues whether he does anything good or not. He acts as if he IS Real Madrid, and despite having Bale, Modric, Benzema etc. they come across as a one man team. I will watch, in the hope that he has a mare and Liverpool win, but only for that. Without a team I can support, I wouldn’t be watching.
I’ll take her if it lessens your burden. Will need to see pics first for identification purposes, naturally.
