If he delivers what he did at Blackburn, City and his first couple of years at Stoke I doubt that anyone will be unhappy. I still rate QPR as an aberration caused by the eejits running the club. I guess I'm happier than most at this appointment.
I think there were many fans who thought this when he was appointed with 8 games to go to keep us up. Turned out to be not that terrible. A long term appointment is different but still terrible is a bit harsh.
I hope he isn't Cassandra...she always turned out to be right subsequently, but people never believed her.
The Moderators don't think so. They have changed the title of my thread. They could be just one small step away from banning me for eight weeks which would save my sanity.
They are a forgettable club. Saying that, Hughes must have heard good things from our board, as he left Fulham because they didn’t want to inject any money in at the time.
Great news ! - I`m looking forward to next season with a properly organised team all playing for the shirt.
To be fair though, when comparing to those two, doing alright is a very low bar. Pretty difficult to do much worse. But yes, I know what you mean and I agree.
According to the vote you are part of the 80% so you are not alone. Maybe the happy clappers are too busy dancing in the streets to comment
Think we saw the team's true feelings towards the end. Most of the season they seemed lost....and Steve Davis mentioned that it took a while before they realised that they were in trouble. But at the end, especially after the Swansea game, the team showed how they were pleased, not only for themselves, but for us. Suspect the guilt would really have set in if we'd been relegated. I know a lot of people don't think that players care because they can move on, but they wouldn't be human if they didn't have a sense of responsibility.
Yep; maybe the players were ****ting themselves, just as much as us fans, that LR/RK would appoint a MP3!
