we are 6 points off relegation

the better players now know the club has no ambition and will leave (Enrique, tiote, ben arfa)

that was the most gutless display i have seen since the last time duff stuck one past harper

    We will be fine!

West Brom, Wigan, Wolves, Blackpool, West Ham are all very, very, very, very, very, very poor teams

Everton are also not our clever either

Wouldn't be that confident like, we have to travel to Bloomfield Road, which will be extremely difficult. Can see us beating Wolves, west brom and getting a draw off Everton. Think Blackpool will beat us though! But that's a nice 7 points, good enough for me. Plus we have Arsenal at home on Saturday. . . What a ****ing roll over that will be

    Newcastle 5 Arsenal 1 ( Sure we beat a team with that scoreline aswell. . . )

Can't see it mattering to us at all. Think we will be safe by then, but the worrying thing is, we have Arsenal at home then Blackburn, Birmingham away. Three games that are going to be very difficult for us. Especially with a ever increasing depleted squad

Yes I don't think it wil matter

    I think Arsenal (h) 1-1
    Blackburn (a) 1-2
    Birmingham (a) 1-1

2 points, no wins but I would find it quite acceptable return from them games

Pardew said it: disillusionment is running right through the club. At least he was honest there.

Things aren't good at the minute compared to where we were a few weeks ago, but this is nowhere near the worst time to have been a supporter. Relegation was far worse, and depending how far you want to go back there are many low points - heading towards division 3 springs to mind, or being top of the old division 2 at christmas and then going on a run that saw us finish in the bottom half.

Lets not forget our expectations at the beginning of the season. At the time, I'd have seen 17th as success. The squad we had showed there was room to be more ambitious than that, but now we have to go back to seeing this season as all about survival again. I reckon we'll get between 12 and 15 points in our remaining games. Its hard to take cos I honestly feel we could have expected somewhere between 25 and 30 with a fully fit squad and Carroll.

If we can survive (and I still think we will) then we will be in a win win situation. Either Pardew will have MORE than £35 million to spend and we can get in some really good signings, or Ashley will have overstepped the mark by going back on his word and it should be the catalyst for finally getting rid of him and moving forward. AS much as I hate the man, I'm hoping its the first and he keeps his word.

Yes, its hard to see where the goals are going to come from. None of the forwards we have look up to the job. But mainly due to the deficiencies of other teams I think we should end on a minimum of 42 points and be safe.

    Keep the faith lads!

I don't think that it is anywhere near as bad as people think.

The next few weeks should see the return of Tiote, Ben Arfa and Gosling, and the introduction of Ireland. What we lacked last night was creativity. The last 3 players mentioned will give us much more of a cutting edge going forward and Tiote makes us stronger in defence.

In the short term we will be hard to break down, but probably won't create too much, but we are only about 10 points from safety with 14 games left.

Many people have been saying that Ranger should be given a run in the team. Well now he has his chance. He can't do a lot with the poor service he received last night, but Ireland and HBA should be able to put that right.

Remember, at the start of the season we were all saying that 17th place was the aim.
