musty, no snakes where you are??????????????????????????

I'll take your word for it because you are there and I am not but that is at odds with everything that I have read and seen about Oz. As Bill Bryson says in his fabulously funny book, "Down Under", there are more things that can prong you to death than practically any other place on earth!!

Some geographical magazine also stated that on/near a typical Aussie beach there are over 200 different varieties of nasties that can seriously kill you. Is this true? I'll never forget the letters I got from my relations when they moved over there years ago. It made my mind up that I would never, ever visit that country because I have a horror of venomous beasties in any shape or form - particularly when they invite themselves to live with you.

The beauty of living in the UK! We've successfully wiped out anything remotely dangerous years and years ago! They're even on about culling badgers!

the snakes run away cos they dont like ppl, spiders u have to be careful of especially redbacks but once you know what their web looks like its ok and u move them on. sharks, jellyfish and octopus hmmmmmmmmmmm, we live in their turf, be afraid lol. tbh no snakes have popped into bed with me however i remember when i was in the army a 12" bush rat wanted to be my friend in my sleeping bag (but that was in nth qld)

Jesus you're a racist, and you've got the cheek to tell me not to give people ****? Tell you what, why don't you build yourself a nice tower and go live in it, that way you won't have to deal with anyone from outside your direct neighbourhood.
