Eric Cantona's positioning in the box was better according to Leslie Ash, if the rumours are to be believed :emoticon-0105-wink:

Fear not - Orta has gone with him and they are going to watch the local Corfu game - new signing will be imminent <ok>

    Mine too.

We had another very good keeper at the time in David Stewart unfortunately for him Harvey was better but he did a great job when he moved to West Brom.

As much as I liked Dave Harvey, I always felt Stewart was the better keeper for some reason

He says he was on about £20k per annum when at Leeds, which is equivalent to approx £200k in todays money.

Did he actually get a game for WBA, I thought they moved him onto Swansea where he played about 50 games

    https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/dave-stewart-ex-ayr-leeds-and-west-967680

Dave later worked under some of the country's most charismatic managers at Leeds - Revie, Brian Clough, Jimmy Armfield and Jock Stein.

And when he was transferred to West Brom, he was signed by Ron Atkinson.

Dave admitted: "That was a bit of a nightmare. I was at West Brom for about 18 months and was going nowhere.

"Tony Godden was atWest Brom and I found it difficult to get into the first team. I'd been through that before at Leeds with David Harvey.

"So I went to Swansea. And then I had two years in Hong Kong."

Because even back in the day you were gripped by the Leeds supporters curse. All those not playing are clearly better than those that are <cheers>

Could be my memory playing tricks but I'm certain I went there once and they played Liverpool in the league cup and he had a blinder.

    Decent player then Bucks

Playing v some county players with a scratch squad tomorrow evening so I'm not entirely confident of getting much joy out of the match.

Not enough under 40's playing bowls mate. One club in our local area have many under 40's, majority playing at county level

Several at international level too !
