Klose is on high wages with a year left on his contract. If Klose leaves he'd need replacing, and Raggett doesn't appear to be impressing. It's not too much of a stretch to think we'd be in the market for a CB. Agree though that I'd rather we spent money elsewhere.
Seems to be a lot of interest in the German Lad - local radio here are reporting interest from both Nice and Lyon
I have no idea of its authenticity and I can't find it now but there was a post on Facebook saying deal almost done for Ducksch, just personal terms to sort and an announcement would be made on 9th June when the International window opens.
Seems strange if there is such interest from big clubs. If true, it can surely only be down to wanting to play for Farke, for some reason. If so, this would be an impressive tick next to DF.
Something else that MAY persuade some players to sign for NCFC is when they see how his training has benefitted JM's development!!!
Sounds like they were all p*ssed off and knackered by his training. They were shattered by match day, that's what I keep hearing.
OK, then can you explain why we scored several late goals - ip5wich at CR comes to mind and why was CJ the only player who wanted out?? PS - I'm not 'having a go' at you FML - just telling it as I see it.
I was just saying what some players and some staff have said to me. Also, CJ wasn't the only one who "wanted out" Look at Nelson for starters. Can you explain to me why we finished where we did, and even below Ipswich? Any late goals didn't seem to have any effect. Not having a go, just asking. Just how I see it.
Bless their little bottie boos. I'd struggle to run around for a measly £20,000 (or more) a week. If CJ wasn't up to it anymore, good riddance. We're now looking for younger, hungrier players, or so I hope. And don't get me started on Oliveira, he's never been up to it. It's a project, and I'm still liking the look of it. There, I've said it, publicly.
OK FML, you have knowledge that I obviously don't re the players and how hard DF made them work etc. Agreed gandy and I'm certainly looking forward to see which other players will be joining McClean in the next couple of months and not forgetting that we should DEFINITELY have Godfrey back and Thompson fit again ready to fit for a place in the 1st team squad.
Whilst we're hoping for a new striker or two to come in, this article offers a thought provoking look at the changing role of the modern striker: https://norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/the-role-of-the-striker-is-changing/
I really hope Godfrey gets his chance next season. Only worry is, either a Premiership team coming in for him (because he really has been that good!) Or Shrews get promoted, and we say: go on them, give him a staring role at Championship level on loan again. See if he can star week in, week out in the Championship. I want him to be in our starting 11 first game of the season though. Really Excited about this kid. Also Todd in the squad, and probably Morris. He's not sounded as impressive, but I'm guessing we wont be able to bring in many strikers
Lots of the less-reliable gossip sites are reporting that we're close to signing Tom Scully, a youngster released by Everton. Sounds like another Phillips-type signing. He's a defensive midfielder, with 3 goals and 3 assists to his name in the U18 Premier League this season. He captained the Everton side. Edit: Apparently he's been on trial with us since March, played ten minutes for us in the PL2 towards the end of the season.
I'm pretty sure we're ALL agreed that we'd love to see Godfrey given his chance in the first team and IMO, both TC and Morris in the squad.
