    Is there anywhere where all that has actually been confirmed? What debt has been cleared and what liabilities remain seems to be a grey area. The only bit I've seen mentioned is the £40m payments to short over 2 seasons which will come from the parachute payments.

    No, but it was interesting that the BBC report described the club as "debt free" which kind of suggests it isn't.

    the fact that SBC have crowbarred themselves into the sale of the training facility would indicate they're still involved and not going anywhere soon

    I guess anything outstanding to them could be construed as "interest payments" rather than "debt" to make things look more palatable

    It's all ok because according to the mackem board they're going to sell their way out of trouble

    Max transfer fee from there is £8.5m for Fabian Delph (who knows why....) - 09/10 season

    They currently owe £28m to other clubs for transfer fees - with the parachute payments going to Short, think they're going to struggle somehow - I guess their new owner will be able to cover this - oh, wait......
