I came very close to buying an Athletic Bilbao shirt once. Even asked a colleague who hailed from the Basque city to get me one when he went back home to visit relatives, but he didn't produce. Saw one in a retro kit shop when on holiday in Rome, but nah...couldn't but it, because it wouldn't feel right. Athletic play in Red n White stripes, btw, because the club was started by a group of contractors from Southampton working at the Port of Bilbao.
