Quite scary really and a warning to any Premier League fan of where your club could always possibly end up in the future;

Current L2 play-off finalists, Coventry in the Premiership around 18 years ago and FA Cup winners 86/87
Charlton in the Premiership around 11 years ago
Bradford in the Premiership around 18 years ago
Barnsley in the Premiership around 20 years ago

Some of those years might be completely wrong but basically they were all Prem clubs at some point, then you have clubs like Posh, who are not short of spending money and currently have Evans in charge.

And if you think clubs like Wigan and Blackburn have only just got promoted from the same league.

Along with Wolves, next season a Prem side after having visited L1.

Once the NFL kick soccer into touch, Tottenham could be visiting L1 to, you heard it here first

 

Blackburn

I remember their title winning team of 1995, was a decent side.
I had a mate whose dad supported Man United, and he was Ex-Military and used to be beat his children severely (Think of the colonel from American Beauty).
So my mate decided to start supporting Blackburn Rovers for no other reason than to piss off his dad, because they were competing with United for the PL at the time.
Day after Blackburn won the league, I saw him with a massive shiner (we were about 13 at the time) and a cut lip, I was like "**** man, That looks nasty!" but he reckoned it was totally worth it, he was so happy that his dad was that upset he literally lay there laughing while his dad pummelled him, getting red with rage, he told me it was the best day of his life.......
To be fair to the guy, he is now 36 and still supports Blackburn Rovers, even though they are **** now.

It is not totally inconceivable that the League One Champions might go on to win the EPL title one day

 

But everyone knows Tottenham broke the bank
