Yip, I'm in the DRC, however, the eastern DRC. The Ebola outbreak is in the North West. It's so far away it's like sitting in London worrying about an outbreak in Madrid, except it takes about 3 days (if you have money) to travel from the North-West to here, not the two hours on a plane from Madrid. If I hear of Ebola in Goma or Bukavu, then I may need to visit Knicker-Box, but no issues as yet. Cheers for the concern.

  2. Not sure where this should sit, but........

West Brom: Darren Moore confirmed as Baggies manager http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44174232

Great news for WBA based on the impact he had over the past couple of months. Wish him well for next season. Won’t be easy to convert that impact into a return to the PL, but would be good on quite a few levels if it happened. <applause>

Good to see they've given him a chance.
46 games against a lot of teams of similar standing/ability won't be easy though.
All the leagues outside the PL are a war of attrition. 46 games is a real slog. Few teams perform consistently over that period, which is why it's hard for any relegated club to go straight back up - even a club the size of Villa.

He did the total opposite to Unsworth at Everton. Not once did he talk about his own ambitions or desire for the job and he got on with transforming the team. That's what it's all about - can you get this bunch of underperforming pussies to play like a team?

Having done it when they really needed to, now he'll have to find out whether he can do it when he wants them to and they haven't got a loss of £30k or £40k per week in wages, riding on the outcome of games. I wish him well. A young, black, English manager is a rare thing these days.

Fair play to West Brom, while Swansea and Stoke are still sacking managers, West Brom appoint theirs so they can start putting the plans in motion for a quick return. I don't really like them because of their style of football, but they taught us a lesson, Good luck to them and in particular Darren Moore.

Got the wedding on in the background. Just heard a commentator say that we see the bride in the back of the car wearing a veil and not much else. Might record the rest.

Grant Holt has retired from football and is taking up professional wrestling. A position as Leicester City defensive coach can only be a matter of time.......

This is such a moving film It makes me teary each time I watch, from my Dads heroes, the 1921 cup team to pictures of the tickets for European games all of which I still have! They only kept the small perforated edge & you retained the rest. Proper tickets in those days in nice colours :) Very moving seeing players from the past especially the Glory, Glory days survivors. Little Tommy Harmer really moved me. Nice to see Clive Allen with his Dad Les who I remember well. Great seeing all the old favourites Hoddle & Waddle, Steve Archibald, Berba & Ginola who are still gorgeous :emoticon-0115-inlov :emoticon-0136-giggl. Sorry, can't act my age! A lovely, sad moving film of the last hours of our beloved stadium culminating in a beautiful rainbow and me in nostalgic tears... thanks Spurf.
