Cavani, Cahill (I guess we need him based on toay), sweinsteigger. That would make us title contenders again.
You wouldnt get Sweinsteigger with £30million on his own nevermind with others. I cant see Arsene spending much more than that tbh.

£30million could get you the right sort of players though. Cahill at around £10million leaves £20 or so for a top class midfielder/striker or 2 decent ones. Should of gone for Scott Parker.
Depends how you view arsenal. Before this season we were looking to build another championship side. To do that we need to replace fab and nasri with world class players and add 1 or two more for good measure
Well I would look at it like this. To replace Fabregas you have Wilshire. Hes young and not there yet but if you give him some help in midfield ( a Scott Parker type ) you wont need to replace Fab straight out.
But scott parker is a mid table calibre player. We want world class players. 7 years ago we had : Lehman - world class (crazy though) Cole - world class campbell - world class toure - quality vieria - better than world class (all time world class) pires - world class bergkamp - all time great henry - all time great Now look at us. We need to spend some money to begin to fix this problem.
You have for the past few years been lacking the sort of rough and tumble sort of player that allows the more talented and skillful players to do their job better. Even now you have some great players but you lack a battler, a tough guy of sorts. Not saying Scott Parker is the man or would of been just throwing a name out there. I would think 2 or 3 tough battling players would have as good an impact as spending 50+million on a couple of World Class players.
But thats not the only problem. Yes we lack the leadership of people like vieria and even someone like keown and lehmann. But just as much we lack the same quality that we had then. Even nasri and fabregas arent as good as the bergkamp, henry, pires and vieria were. You are half right. But its not like henry would cease to be a fantastic footballer if he didnt have someone battling in the middle. Of course we wouldnt be as good without that vieria character. But henry would still carry this team for weeks at a time.
Another great reason why Parker would of been a great addition. Hes a leader after all. I get what you mean though but I think with RVP, Wilshire, Walcott, Gervinho you need players to complement them as much as you need players to light up the stage. Question is who can you get now who is world class and at a price Wenger or Arsenal are willing to pay?
If you replaced walcott, rvp, song and ramsey with pires, henry, vieria and bergkamp respectively then I dont think anyone would be worried about our lack of central defenders or that we didnt have as many grafters in the team. They sure wouldnt be saying we needed more british players
Another one who would of added exactly what Arsenal need. He might of even given Arshavin and Rosisky a smack as they certainly deserve one. They are dreadful .
Not really... Would still have a light squad. No LB. Plus with RVP still to take his 4 month mid season injury break, light up front. Arsenal are a FAR way away from being title contenders again.
