I am beginning to have serious doubts now about Simon Grayson, but the question is who is out there to replace him? I can`t think of anyone!
I had a look around available managers, Hoddle was one but would not want him, another was Alan Curbishley Mmmmm in all honestly though, who would want to manage us with zero money and Bates as chairman. We would probably have to get a manager from a lower league Karl Robinson and John Gorman maybe? Wonder if we could persuade Brian McDermott to leave Reading
Wenger might be available soon but he knows about as much about defending as SG does. I hope we can concede less than 'the Arse'
I darent say this but I will..... when Warnock gets sacked at QPR (anytime soon...) what about him.... (Personally I cant stand the man but he knows how to get teams promoted !!) If I had a choice it would be a return for Poyet... but thats not going to happen is it
yes he is a good manager. However, i think to sack a manager before the 10 games mark is ridiculous. I think it'll get to 10 games, if we are not in the top 8, top 10 as a minimum then bates will have a talk with him and if it doesnt improve over the next 5 games he'll get sacked. But i cant see that scenario happening at this point in time. I reckon i am more pissed off right now than anyone at grayson. However, if we were to keep a level head and not direct this anger we have for losing then you can see that we have been rather unlucky in recent weeks. Not defending him but we havnt actually been playing too badly especially going forward. Middlesborough - The ref seems to have had a power trip West Ham - We really coulda and shoulda won the game, dominated it for long periods and were unlucky in a few occasions infront of goal Ipswich - Completely running the game, shoulda been out of sight by half time and then another dodgy sending off decision. This obviously does not make up for the defence not dealing with the issues and grayson not dealing with the dodgy defence. We do have the personnel at the club to keep going forward it just seems they do not defend as a unit.
LOL About as much chance of him joining us and working under Bates as you have me being offered the job

Only 9 wins in 27 games since x mas that is worrying I see no reason as to why martin o'neill would not come here. Big club and maybe bates would back some he trust with the transfers in?
i dont think bates backing would change depending on a manager. If that were the case then he woulda sacked grayson a while ago, this is just what fans are hoping for. I understand the very bad form we are currently in but it is a new season and with that comes another chance. I think if o'neil were to come to leeds it would be because he sees it as a big club with ambition to get back where they were. Anyway as i said i dont think bates will act rashly, it will be after a long enough period that grayson can turn it around
I'm actually quite shocked that the OP posted this as if I recall doesnt he consistently calls clivetime clowntime because of his views on Grayson and yet...this comes up??? if I'm wrong on that then fair enough but I find it abit strange. and if that is the case, is he admitting he was wrong and clivetime was in fact right?
Yes Pags, with the recent performances,i don`t know what to think anymore.I was merely curious to know who is out there if SG walked. Not many it appears,so hopefully Simon stays and we progress.
The way I see it, we only deserved to lose one game: Southampton. A really poor performance. Boro, the game was influenced by a dodgy refereeing decision but our performance was pretty good in spite of this. Ipswich, apparently a great performance but the game again was changed by a dodgy ref, that was never a sending off! Then a cruel deflection. I still have faith in Grayson, a new manager is unthinkable after the upheaval of the glut of managers we've had over the past few years. Blackwell, Wise/Poyet, Macca etc
Fair enough Farsley. I was just confused with the condemnation of clivetime over the past few months on both here and bbc606, that you were questioning the manager. thing is questioning doesnt make you any less of a fan. people are just worried.
Have to agree Pags - The amount CT has been slated for calling it as it is and yet we are in this position... Grayson seems gutless and inept when big descisions are called for.... His record over the last 9-12 months has not been inspiring and how long has the defence been sh1te - Answer is: ages... So what has he done erm not alot - Then not to play Nunez or at least give him some time is again poor... I doubt he will get sacked as it works for Bates to have a total yes man and as long as we don't get relegated he will stay.... The future's dull the future's Grayson.
If Martin O'Niell was to come to Leeds, his name and reputation alone would attrach players, especially in the loan market.... We would be seen as a club with ambition, rather than being written off as making up the numbers, as it appears we have been this season due to the lack of strenghening of the team, especially the joke of a defence.
And I have to say to all of you who a few weeks ago were calling for me to be removed along with Clivetime from the forum for having an opinion against SG (can you believe that)..... I was right, I am right, and I am glad that finally many of you are seeing past the 'he's a nice guy' front and judging him on one thing... RESULTS!!!!!. Attacking performances win you nothing when your defence lets more goals in than you score... most of the time. Unfortunately it gives me little pleasure that another season has been wasted on this spineless yes man Good luck to Grayson back at Brighton (when Gus leaves for bigger things), he can stagnate there or some other little team, and take Obrien, Bessone, Paynter, Bruce, Sam, and all the other players he bought that where never good enough for Leeds with him...
FFS ..what is the point in bringing his name up....he will NOT come to leeds and also i dont want him...
