There were problems behind the scenes with the dressing room management which I think contributed in some ways to the lack of performance of PSG. I wouldn't envy any manager having to deal with Neymar, etc. If you want to judge him, judge him by his time in Spain. Was very effective with Sevilla.
thats what i mean, it was the season without Neymar etc that he failed. As for effective with Seville, like i said, great cup manager (3 europes). He wasn't great in the league though, 5th, 5th, 7th
Given the strength of Sevilla, it wasn't a bad achievement (think something along the lines of Moyes taking Everton to the top 5). He would not have been my first choice but I am interested to see him manage in the Premier League and I hope he does well.
dunno, i think barca, real top 2 is given. I think Simeone has shown what a manager can do to overachieve by cementing atletico in the top 3 (they were a middling club before he turned up) as with poch. I'd say Seville are one of the bigger clubs in spain alongside valencia. 5th is normal, nothing better or worse. 7th is poor though
Would have liked Simeone, Allegri or Jardim but I think we got the best that was available at this point so not complaining too much.
Let's see how he gets on. I assume that him next season matching the Goon 2017/2018 PL campaigns and 2018 EL campaign will not be deemed by Kroenke or the fans to be failure.
Happy with Dick Emery without being over excited. He’s got more than a decent record and his experience will be valuable for Arsenal. Much happier with this appointment that I was with the prospect of Arteta. That was a massive gamble imo and I’m glad it’s not happening.
