Still young too at 24, plenty of time to improve. He seems to have found his level and works in our team. He likes it here, he's in Pard's plans, if he starts banging them in frequently he could be worthy of it.

I'll admit I've given him some stick in the past. I honestly thought he wouldn't cut it in the PL, but he's scoring more goals than people that cost considerably more than he did. Out of the shocker that was Scunthorpe midweek, I thought Best was one of the better players. He looks hungry for goals and I thought he was really unlucky not to score a few that night.

I am hereby, on the record, holding my hands up and saying I was wrong about Leon Best.

I was one of the few that thought he was unlucky not to score for us in the fizzy pop league, but his first pre-season he was one of the positives despite being over-shadowed by Carroll. But since Carroll left, he aint 'alf taken his chance to be our front man!

 

Well I ate meat for the first 16 years of my life and I appreciate what looks like nice food, regardless of whether or not I'd eat it myself. I made a moral choice not to eat meat, but I would never expect anyone to share my views, as most don't and just call me a "soft ****" . A lot of stuff on that programme could be made using Veggie alternatives, and I have attempted certain meals in the past!

I'm pleased he's shown us what he can do. Shola and Lovenkrands weren't expected to step up as they just don't have the ability, but Best is the type of striker who knows where he needs to be and pounces when given the chance. I don't think he'll ever score from outside the box, but he's scoring and that's what matters.

 

Wasn't having a go fella. More a comment on the American way. Some of the dishes he has have arbitrary salad accompanying them. Seems meat rules in the us of a. Thats why I said it might be more of a challenge for him to do man v salad.
