Probably the most prescient statement ever written on Not 606! Setting the scene, We had two London clubs battling in out for the Premiership Title. One a leviathan of success the other a small North London club with no ambition and a penchant for bottling it at the final hurdle like a three legged Red Rum.

During that run-in Saliva spluttering Harry Kane had warned Chelsea he and the bottlers were coming for us just like he did against Leicester City where they finished third in a two-horse race. This year the two exponents of third-rate wummery saw their team as title challengers although whilst in another county from Man City and United. Yes a whopping 23 points, how embarrassing can that be?

There could only be one outcome as the above statement states. Chelsea won the title by a whopping 7pts our second in four years. As for the small club, well they are still in love with Senor Ramos who gave them a bit of silver in 2008. And for the benefits of the slow minded like Leslie and his boyfriend that's 10 years ago.

As per all the great comedy duo's Laurel & Hardy, Hale & Pace gave us all laughs. Leslie & Snowflake have much to learn and are colloquially known as Cock & Ball.

 

There's no better way of finishing a season with a MAJOR TROPHY. Chelsea may have just finished below a Spud side that punched above their weight but ended up potless with the fat Argy who specialises in failure.

Chelsea on the other hand have a manager who in two years has bought the title and the worlds most prestigious cup home to the home of football. (kiss the badge Tony) Meanwhile in the ravaged urban jungle of North London, things are not so bright.

Despite having the best group of players for two decades the Spuds have failed and indeed spiralled to a lower league position Whilst the Daddies of London are lapping up the spoils (again) (two titles and an FA Cup in four seasons. More than the NL club with no ambition have exceeded in almost 25 years.

Kiss the badge Tony, you're a true blue.

There’s a lot of Spud butt hurt about this week.

 

Chelsea are the only club in Britain to have won a trophy with their mens, Ladies and youth team.

Kiss the badge Ladies and Gentlemen you are trendsetters.

 

They're a bit of a weird lot the Spurs lads, they really don't want to win anything.

League Cup they call the "season killer cup" and stay well away from it.
The FA Cup is no longer worth the effort so they don't try to win it.
The Europa League is **** and too much travelling that disrupts the league season.
So, that leaves the League where they are content to believe they are pushing above their weight because their are 4/5 richer clubs and top 4 is great (Leicester didn't happen ), and the CL where they thought finishing top of a group with Madrid in it was equivalent to getting to the final.
In short, winning is for losers

 

They do have some weird ****s among them. A weird sense of success.

 

Glorifying failure is enshrined in their ethos. Their talisman Bill Nicholson said as much.

 

It’s relative.

If you remember where we were a few short years ago, this is a vast improvement. We’ve never qualified for the CL 3 yrs in a row before, we were a top half of the table side with the occasional visit to the top four.

From a long term fan’s point of view there’s palpable progress. But yes, we have to be realistic. We are in competition with clubs that are far, far wealthier than us. We have to try to grow more from within and by buying potential for the long term

 

Fair enough mate but some of you on here go on as though you're the best thing around. Slaughter us for finishing 5th, yet we have a trophy. Sorry but it's trophies over league position every time for me.
