I badly want Maddison, but I think that he'll get snapped up by a team above us. If available, though, we should pay the price without a second thought; he's exactly what we need behind the striker.

 

He'll prob go to Everton as Rooneys replacement.

 

There's some duplication of skillset with Maddison and Sigurdsson, but I'm not sure if that's a bad thing.

 

I mean Maddison is still very young and could learn plenty from Sigurdsson. Possibly overtake him.

LikeLy but I never heard. There’s a premier league merry go round of player rumours, soon as one club mentioned, they all get mentioned. Looks like a worthy addition but usual case of can they do it in the EPL I guess.

Leicester do not seem to struggle signing players, probably doesn’t hurt having league champions so fresh in the memory.

 

Think they pay big wages as well.

We actually paid as much in wages in 2016-17 as Leicester did. Really need to do something about our roster bloat...all of those fringe players making 50k p/w add up.

 

I meant individually. Yeah we are a bit screwed until a few of the players move on/contract runs out unless we really raise the wage budget.

 

Paying good players 100k+ is much less problematic than having a bunch of handsomely-paid backups. A real clear-out would do us some good.

 

Yeah me too. He's about as popular on Foxestalk as he was on Saintsweb though, so maybe he'll just get sacked in October.
