Levy and Lewis are businessmen mate and ENIC is an investment company that seeks a profitable return. I don’t see them holding onto spurs for that much longer to be honest with a £1bn stadium debt and the demand for increasing wages.

As has been mentioned, spurs could be being primed for a sell off to one of the NFL franchise yanks, who can use the stadium for soccerball on the days that it’s not being used for Gridiron

I’ve no doubt that if the right bid came along that they’d sell. But if you’re sitting there waiting for Spurs to go bust with those two at the helm, you’ll have a very long wait.

We nearly went bust under the previous owners so the culture was already at risk. But what culture do you mean exactly?

The problem with that theory is that economic success comes alongside success on the field.
There is a European Super League coming whether we like it or not. Ten years ago the chance of Spurs being in it were zero. Now they are small but improving. The Champions' League is pretty much essential to making the team better so qualifying for that is a must.

    Half time cheese selection anyone?

Only £15k per season, and you have to buy a brace....

As I understand it the cheapest season tickets are about the same price as before and most fans have renewed. I've been on the waiting list for over ten years and at last I can now get one.
Ironically it's Sky rather than Thatcher (spit) that has ruined the social culture. When there were only a few matches on TV and no hype, match attendances were declining. Now the demand for tickets is huge and that means higher prices can be charged.

I think there are about 400 tickets like that so they bring in £6m a season and effectively subsidise the cheaper seats. Spurs stadium pricing is actually quite like a progressive taxation system. Without those 400 seats the stadium wouldnt be economic so thousands of fans would still be effectively locked out.

Do you think the word ‘thousands’ is superfluous?

There was a guy i once knew, avid Arsenal fan, always ranting on about them, especially when they had a good result. He lived near the ground. I got so fed up with hearing him one day, I asked if he went to the game, his answer 'no.' - So i asked when he last went to a game, he had never been! Fooking armchair fans, killing the game.

I was only taking the piss in fairness, and most of those will be bought by corporates and put down as a ‘legitimate’ business expense...
