My mate reckons that Bowyer is going to see out the season, this then nails on Powell is leaving to come back to Charlton.

If this latest rumour from Mary Berry-Seed is to be believed, Andrew Muir has made contact with Chris Powell to see whether he would be interested in a return to Charlton. Would Powell walk out on Southend for us ?
I don't think they made contact with SCP himself. He'd be silly to walk out on Sarfend. It's all gone swimmingly for them since he joined, whereas at Charlton he'll be joining a club in a complete mess after 4+ years of mayhem, but there will still be a greater weight of expectation, so it would be a bad career move. He would also lose a bit of respect if he walked out on them.
Powell’s Agent. It would certainly tarnish CP’s nice guy reputation if he walked out on the Shrimpers for us.
They also want to talk to Bowyer. Who else I wonder? They'll need to make a quick appointment whoever it is. Hands off Steve Clarke though.
