So Paul Lambert leaves Stoke following their relegation to the Championship. Did he fall or was he pushed? I think he could have been alright for them
Just beat me to it Dave - http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/canaries-old-boy-lambert-leaves-stoke-1-5524171 I'll never forget chatting to some other fans during our time in the PL under pl and someone posed the question as to whether PL could manage players with an ego??? I think that question has been well and truly answered!!! Could that signify the end of his managerial career???
Celtic celebrate the "double treble" like it means something. You buy all of Scotlands talent, because the rest of Scotland can barely pay wages to stay alive. Well done Celtic. Incredible achievement.
Well said that man!!! PS - Not forgetting the odd foreign player on the squad!! Edit - I watched bits of the have from Wembley and I feel that ManUre did deserve to win, but if the team has the NCFC 'disease' of not scoring goals ......
I think Curtois was vying with Hazard for motm which tells a different story .Man Ure failed to breach an excellent defence
The window is now open and a good starter from Stewart Lewis on today's MFW - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...ining-norwich-and-for-youth-having-its-fling/. I thought this comment was particularly relevant - 'My one plea to City fans would be to give them a chance. Young players make mistakes, sometimes from trying too hard – let’s have a little patience and show them, for their sake and ours, that we’re behind them!!!'
I think Lewis mentioned that Dave: "As before, our fans will divide into two groups of reaction to the new signings: “I’ve never heard of him, it’ll be interesting to see what he can do” and“I’ve never heard of him, he must be rubbish”. Plus sa change...
TransferMarkt rates his base value at €1.8m, which would probably mean £3-4m given that he's at a prime age (24) and coming off a very successful season. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marvin-ducksch/profil/spieler/125103 Interesting that he can also play WL or as a second striker. Edit: Sorry, this was meant for the transfer thread.
It was the right thing to do, but didn't think they would. Really happy he has his chance. I'm not convinced he will be in charge at the end of the season. If they struggle, which you can in this league. I think they would see sacking him as an easy option.
So Rowett takes over at Stoke and I wonder if any of the Derby players will follow him???? More importantly, is how many of Stoke's current players will move along with Butland. I see Pellegrini has replaced Moyes at Wet Sham!!
Big day out for both canaries loanees on Sunday. It would be good if Morris can impress in pre-season to be included in the first team squad and I trust SW/DF to make the right decision in that respect. http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...gue-one-play-off-final-wembley-date-1-5529913
