Last chance you say? He be Legend already. He completed his status that day, I fully expected him to jet out to LA and sip champagne while he looked back at a marvelous career filled with respect................and a little hate mail from Milton Keynes!
Coventry 4-2 up on aggregate now. Notts been very unlucky with decisions but forgot that Nolan managed them now so **** 'em
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/may/18/bojan-krkic-interview-anxiety-attacks-football I really hope this becomes the norm. Sports are one of the last vestiges of the tough-guy mentality where you simply don't talk about such things, and I'd guess that there are countless "flops" who were just as talented as advertised but suffered from depression, anxiety, or other treatable mental illnesses that were suffered behind closed doors. Here in North America, the dam has cracked with a few prominent players opening up (mostly in basketball, as the NBA is easily the most thoughtful and socially-minded professional league going these days), but there's still a long way to go.
I just read a similar article elsewhere on Bojan. Tough to deal with the pressures for some people and too often it is not dealt with or supported properly.
Where is the Snoozefest Match-Day thread? As I am having a garden BBQ here in Mallorca, I will not watch it. I wouldn´t even bother if I was in the UK. Perhaps sit out in the garden, prepare a BBQ, read a book, have a chilled glass of wine and let Alan Green paint a perfect picture of the scene with his eloquent words. I do wonder how Alan Green would do in the TMS commentary box? With Henry Blofeld having retired who is the new guy?
Good appointment for them, similar to Roy I am unsure why he gets so much stick at club level. Championship is his level, I'd expect him to do well
By the letter of the law, it probably was, but I'm glad he didn't send him off. Its still a contest now.
Tried to play the ball, so not a red card in my book. Anywho, Hazard v Jones. Looking forward to the WC.
Jones relief at seeing yellow makes me lean towards a red more! Hazard is going to destroy us isn't he!
I don’t think it was a red. I think he was genuinely trying to win the ball/block a shot, not cynically tripping him, so under the double jeopardy rule it’s just a yellow, even though it denied a goal scoring opportunity. Outside the box the ref may have had a look at his red card. Edit. That first touch by Hazard was superb.
