That's a very good point! Not worried at all now because the zipwire can't be more terrifying than that evening. (Fingers crossed!)

As I said I had this unread in my bookcase. Have now read after your suggestion and I agree an enjoyable book (warning with emotional bits that may mean you need a hankie).

It was going to be my next book but I'd forgotten that I'd reserved one in the library and it came free on Tuesday so I have ti read that first. Eleanor will be next, though :)

The wonders of the t'internet. Noticed that one of cast of Suits visited the Royal Standard of England pub in Buckinghamshire....so had to check it out. I want to go there....what a great traditional pub. Its history goes back nearly a 1000 years when it started as a brewhouse attached to a farm. Originally the Ship, it gained its new name by permission of Charles II who reputedly hid there and certainly entertained women there. It's history on the website is worth reading (if that's your thing) but it sells craft beers as well. Anyone been there?

must admit I enjoyed that wedding, especially the faces of the royals whilst the American priest was preaching!

I enjoyed it. beautiful weather, setting and service. Felt for the bride's mother...very brave to be at such a formal occasion on your own. Nice music...always like a gospel choir. Had my cake and prosecco...admittedly about 9.00, but I only had so much self control :)

That will be a topic of conversation for some time....like the drunk uncle you talk about for years. However, it was Meghan's wedding as much as anyone else...no problem with her wanting something she was familiar with.

Exactly Fran. My daughter got married in America to a Cuban-American man. We managed to have the US, Brit & Cuban culture in it.

I had a bit of cake and had to settle for a lovely cup of Earl Grey in a Meghan & Harry china cup as I am driving later :)

Bit of advice needed. Have a space in a parking lot....on the deeds of my house. I rarely use it because I have a drive to park on. A man keeps using it....I left a note and for a while he stopped, but now he's back. My opinion is that it is mine and adds value to my house...and if I should want to use it it should be available. I have in the past let others use it when they ask for a specific reason...I am not a nasty person. I'm getting pissed off...every time I see his car it winds me up. Just put another note....fixed with sellotape...hope it marks his screen. Don't want to start a war, but any suggestions.

sounds like it's too late! you could either have a nice chat with the man and explain that it's your space or get his car towed!

Ask around and see if anyone knows him, failing that slash his tyres .....no don't mean that bit,<laugh> maybe you could leave a note informing him that that space is owned by you and does he want to pay a monthly fee to park there.

All I will say is that we show the world how to do pomp and ceremony.

Nearly 2 billion people around the world got to see the best of British today and that can’t be bad for us as a nation.

I for one am proud of the Royal Family and what they bring to the country...but as you say, each to their own. It is not everyone’s cup of tea.
