    Good Morning Everyone

Leeds Utd will release their retained list today.

The list will be a indicator of the clubs ambition over the Summer and beyond.

Rumour has it that Pearce has refused a new contract, and may very well be departing shortly.

Leeds have been in communication with Pearce's agent over the last 48 hours with an improved contract, but will it be emough?

Who do you expect to be on the list?

Yosuke Ideguchi has been named in Japans preliminary 35 man squad, but will he make the cut?

At least he has the oportunity...

Leeds are keeping a close eye on Liverpool youngster Yan Dhanda who is out of contract shortly.

Although the Reds have offered the 19 year old left sided midfielder a new deal, Dhanda wants to start afresh.

Swansea City are also interested in the Midfielder.

Morning all... I’m not expecting any surprises on the retained list, some who deserve to leave are on lengthy contracts so we need offers to come in.

Let’s be honest, the list of who we must keep would be far shorter than the list of “who cares” if they leave. What is it with us and young left backs, they hardly play a season and they get touted, is the country short of upcoming LBs?

Pearce is being badly advised in my opinion and moving to Everton would see him sent out on loan and no chance of first team football for a couple of years. Everton have a new manager coming in and he may not want him. If he wont sign a new deal then fk him and hope he does a taylor and Byrom and warm the bench instead of playing football.

Hernandez deal is still ongoing but there are loads of clubs chasing him now and you can see him going to Southampton or Newcastle or even CSKA Moscow who want him but have not offered enough wages, and they are in the Champions League. Radz has said there is a will to do it and the money to compete, but frankly I think anyone with his record of 28 goals in 49 games is gold dust and he will be going where the money is.

Swansea are making it tough by demanding £6m for Bartley. Is Bartley worth £6m after 2 serious knee injuries or should we go for Robert Huth or even John Terry

Agents will be telling Pearce to look at the likes of Delph and Cook, they won’t be pointing out the ones who don’t make it. I think we need to move on from Hernandez, we might as well be saying we’ve made an offer for Messi, like you rightly say, Hernandez has a whole host of options open to him, why a sideways step when he can get PL or CL football

Just read a good piece on the bookies and Hernandez after BetFred apologised to punters based on a fake Phil Hat tweet. They have however also pointed out that the market still has Leeds as fav to get him based on other information? Knowing our luck we would buy a fake Hernandez

I think it was the amount of bets placed due to the rumour spreading so fast. It pains me to say it but we’re an average Championship club and we don’t attract these kind of players.

The bookies are still gambling that Hecky gets sacked today or next week? Chippy I believe heard something similar a week or so ago too and I believe marcos mentioned he had heard the same. The bookies have Staam at 6/4 fav closely followed by Big Mick then DoL at 5/1 with the usual suspects miles away. For those Big Mick haters he has actually taken Sunderland and wolves out of this league and into the Prem, surely that deserves respect, and we need all the help we can get next season as it will be harder than ever. We will not be able to compete on transfers and wages so need a big manager

With the retained list due out today a story saying that on top of Sacko going another 3 signings from last Summer will be sold off (Probably at a loss) If this is true it would also say that Hecky is staying? Felix, Anita and Cibicki to go?

Good morning all, Is Bartley worth £6m to me no,to much of a gamble with his injury record,i think that kinda money could be much better spent elsewhere.in my opinion we need to start at near the top,by moving on PH,and getting mick in,then a captain,Huth for me yes,he's had his injuries, and at the tail end of his career, but i think is fit now & could give us a couple of hard working seasons,i think he would be respected by the players & fans alike (and boy do we need someone to warm to) then a striker someone like crouch, for god's sake at least maybe we should make an enquiry into his availability, for i think he could offer a lot in the championship,he like Huth is at the end of his career but has a hell of a football brain,as in the right place at the right time, could easily see him scoring 20+ a season in the championship. To sum things up,I hope we spend wisely, and to stop sighning who? from whatama league and bring in some seasoned fighters who are capable of getting us out of the championship,we after all as long suffering Leeds fans deserve some hope & excitement.

    Good morning Matt & all

I expect us to retain the majority of our lazy average dead legs which is par for the course at Leeds. How many of our quality/best players will go is a major concern for me ?

I see we are one of the last clubs in with the retain list, silly meaningless tours & boxing events consuming too much time of our owners.

Remind me we are a football club aren't we ?

    Bonjour tout le monde,

We are indeed an excellent football club, well the fans are. Always keep the faith I'm hoping that Radz has seen that doing things on the cheap isn't going to work and that getting to the premiership you need to be acting like the premiership.

There are obvioulsy going to be quite a lot leaving this summer but Im hoping that we recruit fewer but better.

Morning all. We all know what needs to happen and who, if any should be on a retained list. We also know we dont need Orta or PH, Rad debatable. We know of course what happens in the summer will more than likely be the opposite of what we all want. And before complaining about negative posting here and elsewhere, maybe some would be better directing their frustrations at the one responsible, our owner

I think bartley might be an appease the fans signing.... You wanted him we got him.

Like most, i’d take a fully fit Bartley probably at that price even though it’s excessive, but 6mil with the crock history he’s had? Well we’d have to hope the medical was pretty thorough and we don’t appear to have a great track record on that front.

Do you really think we'll shell out £6m for a crocked defender when we can't put thirty bob together for a decent striker? I think not.

In retrospect, he looked good with us because him & Pontus had set roles. Pontus attacked the ball, & he mopped up. We also had an excessively defensive attitude imposed by Monk that had 2 deep DMs. So basically, he was well covered & rarely exposed. Anything that did come through was a relatively easy clearance. People forget that he had zero pace & was caught out in the odd moment that Monk allowed us to play with a high line. He's not worth £1m imo. Highly over-rated. Couldn't get a place in a crap Swansea team before he came to us, and failed to shine - when not injured - after he left us. A bad, bad idea to sign him imo.

Huth I'm warming to, and would like to see him or another old hand signed in conjunction with breaking in some of these promising u23 CBs we've got. Nessi was a DM, but impressed as a CB last year when called on (but was rubbish at DM, ironically). O'Connor took his chance well too. I still think Struijk & Diaz & Rey are ahead of O'Conner, and hear great things about the unplayed Halme, but what do I know? You wouldn't expect any of them to put in a consistent season, being so young, but unless they're introduced to the first team, they're going to fester & die in the u23s, before leaving as failures (only to become brilliant elsewhere, no doubt! :D).

Not one breath was taken whilst typing that rant. One fingered too, hence the bright red face & heavy breathing. :D

Some truth in that rant WJ... our defence were all helped by monk’s defensive set up... we had wingers that played as extra full backs half the time too... but that defence were under siege for large parts of most games and did their jobs. He Scored a few too. I think you’re Harsh on him, it’s the injury record not the ability that mainly concerns me.
