Reading the articles and posts on here I'm a little surprised that more people haven't questioned and pointed the fingers at our two billionaire owners now. Maybe more so at Kroenke than Usminov. I think that all the conflict in the boardroom is starting to cost us dear, I partly wish now that we had a sugar daddy owner who was willing to spend, it's all very well preaching about having values but it's clear to all now we need major investment, I think the talk of 3-4 players is miles off, I think were looking at at least 8 players and that's without replacing deadwood, I agree that we need David Dein back, and disagree with the Wenger Out brigade, you lot have short memories, the man has transformed this great club from the ground up, the board have the final say with transfers and more importantly wages, we need to show our anger to these con men who are killing our great club, not a man who has given us fifteen years loyal service when the likes of Madrid were knocking on the door.

It's gazidis' fault. Why am i the only person who's realised how useless this man really is?

I think maybe one would have been better, the way things are at the minute I'd choose Usamanov, providing he was willing to put his money where is mouth is, maybe I'm thinking a bit knee jerk, the level of money in the game is surely going to crash down soon and we will be in better shape than most, but we do need a sharp shock of heavy investment at this present time.

Well the FFP rules are already in place, which if adherded to, will put an end to the flagrant spending on players as City and Chelsea have done. But by the time any sanctions have taken effect, Arsenal could be lagging well behind.

Spot on. My fear also. I also think we are risking losing our place as a big club.

I thought you could still book a £20m a year loss. And include an on site hotel and various other things in your football business. Meaning that city will be fine because they are cleverly building up the club.

    Spot on.

This seasons spending only impacts the 2014/2015 season. Hence why Man U, City and Liverpool are willing to post 40+ mill losses this year. Because come the 2015/2016 season this years spending won't count...

City are building this Ethiad campus that will have a youth stadium, office space, retail space, call centres, accommodation...
Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool are all trying to get as many sponsor deals as possible.

The FFPR doesn't really help Arsenal if they arn't in the CL. Because then their stadium has to make that £30m up instead of adding to it.

  12. I've been saying this for months too my friend, even in our old place.

These money men see only the balance sheet but not the nuts and bolts that go on to making it. Just look at Utd. They were 700+mil in debt last year but they've turned round their balance sheet and winning attracts further investment and commercial arrangements and without the need to put up prices....
