so far we've signed Tom Rogic from Celtic, Quincy Promes, Fabianski from Swansea and Stoke City pair Xherdan Shaqiri and Joe Allen. + 3 we've never heard of (with Daniel Sturridge on loan). Bit disappointed we haven't signed 2 more centre backs and a back-up manager :)

I liked him when he played against us for Midgetland.

So, as I understand it, we can sign players from British clubs from midnight tonight, but we have to wait until 8th June for players from abroad.

He also wouldn’t have cost anywhere near as much if we’d bought him back then.

We also have made loads of money to not reinvest had that happened.

    Definitely would take him.

On the subject of Midgetland, I'm never learning to spell their name properly either, the bastards.

If we're doing fantasy signings... followers of nerd football twitter will know there's something weird going on with Adama Traore at Middlesbrough. If you think Boufal is frustrating with no end product then he might not be your new favourite player, but there's a lot of potential, and it's an achieveable transfer.

Sebastian Coates, Uruguayan international at Sporting Lisbon would be worth a look at the moment. Played for Liverpool and Sunderland in the past... had a good run at Lisbon though and a bit more experienced now.

Frenkie De Yong perfectly fits my desire for a defender who can bring the ball out from deep. So far, I would like us to sign 5 players from Ajax. I am dreaming.

But Stephens and Hoedt can both bring the ball out of defence.

Perhaps he has refined his game, but I would have a difficult time getting past how abysmal he was with Sunderland.

For ball-playing CBs, what about Benjamin Pavard, at Stuttgart. I'll admit to having seen very little of him, but he got raves all year and is young, good on the ball, and was the cornerstone of an excellent defense this year. All of which means that he'd cost actual money, which probably means he's a non-starter, but I can dream.

Jonathan Tah at Leverkusen is a pretty decent CB. 22 years old, so would definitely fit into "The Southampton Way", young, hungry, will sell in 2 years for a large profit?
