No further points as Dai seals a surprise victory over the much fancied Sayer to advance to his first playoff final It looked a stretch for the head to head great (this is only Sayer's 2nd defeat in this format). Another season in Div II for Sayer and no straight return to the top tier. Can Dai now make the most of this historic first victory?

Sparks and Frankfurter both predict the same score so this was only going to end one way even if points had been available. So it all hinged on that single goal difference in last night's result. Absolutely gutting for Sparks but this is a very familiar story, having only managed to get past this first hurdle once in 4 playoff campaigns! A 2nd final for Frankfurter - after threatening to break free of the 2nd tier on several occasions, can he take this golden opportunity?

Going to be a tight call with both defences having to be on top form.

I predict Fulham and consign Villa to another season in div 2.

 

If that's the case, from what I've read, Villa could be in deep **** next season over FFP.

 

Yes but the EFL is a spineless organisation with zero authority and no balls - so I imagine Villa can do whatever they please. Just like Derby

This is actually my 3rd play-off too......I never seem to get a rest...which is my excuse for such poor predictions.

I don't know how I'll chose this one, I wanted PNE in 6th instead of Derby then hoped Middlesbrough would come up with us. Both gone Fulham or Villa, I really don't care.
