We have a major rebuilding job to do as according to the media half of our squad are on the move already. The football close season so epitomises the internet. Full of fiction and downright lies, half truths, baseless but sensational headlines for click bait, manipulative stories to unsettle players etc etc,

 

What sort of money would we get for Targett -£10m?

 

I think Cedric would be fairly easy to replace. Defensively he is alright in 1 on 1 situations but cant really compete in the air and i worry about his positioning.

Going forward is the opposite - he always gets in a brilliant position to deliver a quality ball but his delivery is horrendous!

 

As for Matt Targett, i think he really wants to give it a proper go at saints. He put up on twitter "laat game at the cottage" last night so doesnt look like he is expecting a stay!

I think we should give him a go if Bertrand leaves. We know full well players can make the step up from the championship and at his age he could improve a fair bit too.

 

Always hope that our Academy lads will be the best next thing for Saints, but of course the odds are always against it. Logically only a few can make it to the first team. Olomola looks a good player....have to keep an eye on him.

You see, if we hadn’t had such a daft shocker of a season, Toby wouldn’t have been completely impossible.

 

Our transfer targets have been very hit and miss over recent years.
My one true wish is for us to get the bulk of our business done early this summer (manager and players).

I think that Olomola was one of the 23 names that someone posted a few weeks ago that were all out of contract this summer. The academy is going to be hit hard from what I could remember of those on it. Either the management don't think they are going to make the grade or its cost cutting

 

This isn't going to be popular, but I don't think we should ditch Carrillo just yet, he's only made 7 appearances and that's far too early for him to be written off.

I'd like to see what he can do after a proper preparation - given the amount invested in him, let's at least see if there is a capable striker there.

Just going by what's on the saintsweb contract page most of them (olomola included) I don't care about. Worried about Alfie Jones, and Armani little from the u23's.
Also Harry Hamblin and Harlem Hale from the u18s.
