It started already ...... Luke Harvey: "Dr Marwan Koukash is literally Mr Chester" No he isn't you pillock - he is literally Dr Marwan Koukash!!!!
Okay, which of you bounders stole that special asthma inhaler from Chris Froome? Did you lend it to Kyle Edmund?
I know not everyone can do it but I now only go midweek as it's far less potential for that kind of thing. Going up to York for the Dante on Thursday and cannot wait!
Yorkshire cricketers, especially the batsmen. 3 batting bonus points from 4 completed first innings is just pathetic. Now staring at an innings defeat to Surrey.
More ‘cocaine fuelled’ violence at Ascot on Saturday then but not to worry as Newbury Racecourse have thought of a way to combat it ahead of their big fixture this weekend. They are going to appoint and I quote ‘bar spotters’ who will go and have a quiet word if someone is seen to be acting aggressively. Not throw them out on their ear, not hand them over to the Police, not prosecute them...but have a quiet word. You seriously could not make it up… Amazing incidentally how that Ascot violence was largely reported yesterday with several references made to hopes that it won’t happen at next months Royal meeting as this will and I again quote ‘upset’ The Queen! What about the people who actually pay to attend might they also not be somewhat put out?!? Again you seriously could not make it up…
I think you'll find they're mostly drunk yobbos Barn. From what I've read, one of the fights centered around football. I saw an interesting story on possible Russian violence at the world cup. Now that's something that could turn really nasty.
Cannot exactly remember my last visit to The Guineas at Newmarket however it was certainly more than ten years ago. There were fights down at the corner where there was football on the large screen; recent dodgy behaviour is nothing new at race tracks.
Who’s going to be the first member to moan about ‘The Royal Wedding’ on this thread?!? Answers on a postcard please to the usual address… I understand Ladbrokes and old boy Paddy Power have already opened a book.
Scottish Cup Final - 15.00 FA Cup Final - 17.15 DFB Pokal Finale - 19.00 Nae problems this coming Saturday!
Disorderly and uncivilized conduct is going on everywhere it would seem, even when the combatants are stone-cold sober and the affray is about the most trivial of things. There are two Ikea places just outside of Munich, this riot happened recently between two women shoppers at the Eching branch over the 'right-of-way' of their Wagerls (shopping carts), for God's sake. Everyone in the vicinity seems to have joined in, and the police had to be called. The older woman, who started it by yelling at a younger woman, eventually landed-up in hospital with facial lacerations when falling onto a metal shelf after being shoved by the 18-year-old's Papa. Absolutely farcical! What is this world coming to? http://www.dw.com/en/trolley-rage-german-police-called-over-ikea-shopping-cart-fight/a-43770988
We need CCTV coverage of this calamity! One wonders what the outcome would have been in a Texas IKEA?
I have to be honest I haven't witnessed any trouble in all the times I have been racing with the exception of Salisbury racecourse where a rock tribute act were playing after racing and some guy was so drunk he could hardly stand up. In that instance the bouncer and a few us in the crowd successfully quelled the situation and in the end he left the racecourse . I tend to go racing at least 4 times a year and over 25 years that ain't too bad. I don't see what the problem is. I think this sort of thing is reported more these days so is just something people are aware of. I mean as if this sort of thing has only started happening in the last 5 years. Dan Starkey you sound like a right girl saying you avoid weekend meetings just cause you think there is more trouble. What a ridiculous attitude to have. That's like saying you 'll never go out on a Friday or Saturday in town cause there is more potential for trouble. I mean we could all worry about so much we could end up doing nothing..
I m not going to moan about the royal wedding...on Saturday. The "women" are off to watch the wedding on a big screen...meanwhile us blokes get peace and quiet in the pub getting ready for the fa cup final! Absolutely brilliant day...we 'll catch up with the women later when they ve probably drunk too much prosecco and we ve had copious amounts of lager!
Frankly, I thought it would be you. Although I have no interest in these functions whatsoever, I like old Harry; he has served his country well, with courage too. I wish them both a long and happy life together.
No, no, no, no, no, old boy. Not anymore. Am no longer paid from the same Exchequer (well won’t be in a fortnights time anyway) so what they and their ilk do no longer directly affects me – i.e. its no longer a case of if they get the money I don’t. They will no longer take food off the old table so to speak. You can rest assured that I’ll be watching the ceremony standing to attention whilst tugging my old forelock. Incidentally, I wonder if Lieutenant Henderson, Her Majesty’s favourite military man, will be invited. If not I’m sure he and his Privates will be watching back at the old Seven Barrows Barracks.
Wot wedding? I walked past The Royal yesterday and I did not see any signs of a Wedding... are you referring to a different hotel?
When you order the 'de-luxe' version of a newly released CD by one of your favourite bands with five extra tracks and you get the normal eleven track version!
School proms. Another way to rinse the ol man out of a load of cash cos all of your daughter's friends are going in designer frocks, arriving by limo/helicopter/Learjet. Bollox to all of it, back in the early 80s there was a leavers disco for those of us that had managed to last the course.
