Goal claim the Merseyside giants are fighting a losing battle to hang on to 18-year-old striker Brewster after he snubbed a series of contract offers amid strong interest from Bundesliga clubs Borussia Mochengladbach and RB Leipzig. t is said that Liverpool also plan to offload at least two from Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Divock Origi, with manager Jurgen Klopp keen to replace them with multi-functional attackers who can play centrally as well as out wide rather than a traditional number nine.
Lanzini Linked Liverpool have been heavily linked with Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir in recent weeks, but the Mirror say they’ve also “retained” their January interest in West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini. Lanzini - who put two past Everton on the final day of the season - is being eyed by Jurgen Klopp as a late replacement for Philippe Coutinho, according to reports, with the Argentine’s five goals and six assists making him one of the key components to the Hammers’ survival under David Moyes. Would Lanzini be a good option for Liverpool, though? I don’t think many Reds would mind if he came in alongside Fekir - but the Lyon man does seem like the more glamorous option of the two. Lanzini, though, could well spread his wings playing alongside the likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino next year - just like Coutinho did! https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...liverpool-news-transfer-rumours-live-14656503
Chelsea may move for Pochettino Chelsea are considering moving for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino if Antonio Conte leaves the club this summer, according to Sky sources. Conte is expected to depart Stamford Bridge after Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester United. Barcelona willing to let Dembele join Liverpool Barcelona are willing to let Ousmane Dembele join Liverpool this summer, reports in Spain have claimed. Barcelona forward Dembele has emerged as a Liverpool transfer target in recent weeks. Jurgen Klopp recently expressed a desire to sign the France international, who has endured a difficult campaign at the Nou Camp. Barcelona forked out over £130million to sign the player from Borussia Dortmund last summer. Fast forward nearly a year, however, and a parting of the ways could be on the cards. And Spanish website El Gol Digital say Liverpool have now been handed a major transfer boost. The report indicates Barcelona are willing to negotiate for the forward, despite club president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s claims to the contrary. Speaking recently, the Nou Camp chief said: “The option of selling him is not on the table. “We are finishing the season and then there will be meetings. “He's an investment for the future. He is very young and we expect a lot from him.” Yet El Gol Digital say the Barcelona bigwig is bluffing and that Dembele may be allowed to join Liverpool. That is supposedly because the Catalan giants are nearing a deal to sign Antoine Griezmann. Express Sport is aware that Griezmann looks primed to sign for Barcelona despite interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United. The arrival of another attacker would see Dembele plummet down Ernesto Valverde’s pecking order. And that could play into Liverpool’s hands. As well as the Reds, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been tipped to pursue the Barcelona misfit. Source: Daily Express
So Origi and Sturridge then lol. As for Brewster. ..what does he expect? Only a kid and spent a significant amount of this year having 2 surgeries... Who's his agent?
I don't want to condemn the lad without knowing anything about him, but this does smack of a kid who thinks he's "it" because of doing well in youth teams. If that's the case then let him go, that's not the personality type that will get on well with Klopp. And he's still got a girl's name.
Tbf to Brewster and just to take the alternative non-hate view ... maybe he's seen what Jadon Sancho is doing at Dortmund and thinks something similar will work for him, he might just want to go and cut his teeth abroad which is actually respectable
good question on agent I have no idea but the guy seems to be completely out for himself so he must have one
tbh I think he's looking for big money. I doubt he's looking at one example out there cos he has examples here
Naby Keita will cost Liverpool £52.75m after RB Leipzig finished sixth in the Bundesliga. Liverpool agreed a deal to bring Keita to Anfield at the end of this season during the 2017 summer transfer window, but his price was dependent on Leipzig's final league position. If the German club had secured Champions League football for a second successive season the price for Keita would have been £59m. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-cost-finalised-after-rb-leipzig-finish-sixth
Exactly. His development would be far better served playing competitively in a good league like the BuLi which is renowned for developing young players. Imo - he would be crazy to turn down a move to Germany.
Spurs will listen to summer offers for Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld, 29, and 27-year-old England left-back Danny Rose. (Mirror)
