It used to be called Tottenham County Grammar, then became Tottenham Comprehensive . It closed and was knocked down years ago.
I was teaching a bit further up the Lane, at Wood Green, in the 70s. I’m delighted to know there was another outstanding teacher of English in a Haringey school! (My questions were really a bit tongue-in-cheek, prompted by your punctilious attention to grammatical detail!) you were near Bill Nick’s house, then!
I am a stickler for punctilious attention to grammatical detail. It pains me to see so many people abusing the apostrophe, and confusing “their” with “there” (among several such demonstrations of illiteracy).
Robbo is off-pitch as he was on : 100% committed to the Spurs cause, and will not take any sh*t from outsiders.
You didn't spot the missing capital letter, though, did you! Should have been "You" not "you"...............
It looks like I missed a full-stop, too. I have failed. I must do the decent thing. I’m going outside. I may be gone some time.
No no! Not you too! CK and now HIAG! Not606 will never be the......... what am I going to do with all that spare reading time?!
Exeter won 3-1, so they now face a final against Notts County or Coventry. Would be nice if he could bow out with a win.
Technically this is two ex-Spurs, but one of them we do our best to forget he was ever part of our club...
Cundy knows full well that missing out on the CL again is an ocean going disaster for Chelsea, especially at this point. Hazard's not pledging allegiance following their FA Cup win and he is, by a long street, their best player and has 1 year left on his contract. He promised to sign another in January but there must be communication problems at The Bridge as, to date, confirmation is still awaited. Without him, it's all a bit of a disaster. When, from time to time, he chooses not to turn up, Chelsea go into significant decline. Courtois' also been promising to sign a deal but seems to keep losing his pen. He also has 1 year left. Fabregas is shot against a team that presses him. Cahill and Luiz seem to be coming to an end there and Willian seems to have had enough although, he might be happy to see the back of Conte. That's a fair few over 30's adding Giroud and Pedro to those other 4. A long delay to Abramovic's visa decision could add some interest to matters. I'm not sure on that issue. It's come at a helpful time for him regarding him being a central witness in a court case regarding the fallout between 2 Russian Oligarchs over a mining company that he owns a percentage in, as a result of Putin placing him there to 'keep the peace'. It could suit him to be unavailable for that as some very difficult issues regarding his relationship with Putin could come up. If it's arisen outside of his control, it isn't going to encourage him to be spending large amounts of money in this country....maybe he could move Chelsea to the East? Chuck in who is buying players like Drinkwater, Barkley and Bakayoko, where the funding for a new stadium is coming from and where they'll play for 4 or 5 years if they build it, and Like Arsenal, things are at a crossroads. United may not be impressing anyone with their football but as long as Mourinho delivers CL, he'll get time and money to put it right. It's becoming increasingly common for top 6 sides to win the FA Cup, miss the CL and collect their P45 pretty soon after. Ask Van Gaal and Wenger. Chelsea's win is likely to produce the same result any day now for Conte. Better season?..........yeah, right.
