Now I would imagine that probably got your attention.

I was wondering how you lot think you match up against us this season, do you think you will nick a win at SJP? Do you think you can better us in the league again this year?

Who would you have from our team if you could and why, I encourage debate from both sets of supporters on both issues... I'm quite bored and would like a bit of lively debate if possible...

If you want my honest answer.

I think Sunderland has the stronger squad and if Bruce can get his tactics sorted we will finish above you.

The derby **** guessing at that, the last few have cost me a ****ing fortune in bets. :p

The only player I would have considered from yourselves has gone to Liverpool and I don't mean Carole. <ok>

Lively debate? ****in hell that invitation could be too good to miss.

I wouldnt have any of your strikers thats for sure (Best, Lovenkrands, Ba and Amadonkey are just sub-standard ****e IMO) but would rather Bruce went out and brought in a quality one instead. We are desperate for a finisher and I fully expect that at least one will be sought and bought before Wednesday's deadline. However............

Keeper - I'd take Krull over Westwood and Mignolet but not Gordon.

I wouldnt swap O Shea for Simpson. Bardo for Ryan Taylor. Brown for Twatboy Taylor but would definately swap Ferdinand for Colocinni.

In midfield? I'd take Tiote over Cattermole but not Arfa over Sess and I'd rather have Larsson than Jonas (better end product). Our left wing I'd take anyone to be fair Lol.

Up front I'd keep Gyan over any of your strikers (where is Ba these days) and add to that with better players from outside the region, rather than any you have.

Funnily enough, Enrique, Barton and Nolan would have been ones I would have swaped too and I think as the season rolls on, you will miss them too.

Fair play to you though, 7 points from 3 games is a very, very healthy start, so well done but one word of caution. There is a helluva long way to go yet and many more twists and turns are going to befall both clubs before May 13th 2012.

I would definitely agree with you on Ameobi and Lovenkrands, I was just saying earlier how it still baffles me how Lovenkrands still gets minutes in our team, he hardly ever touches the ball. But Best has been a bit of a goal machine for us, I still dont rate him but you cant help but notice he keeps popping up with the goods more often than not and Ba has a very good record and got a very good assist today for one of Bests goals.

From yours I'd definitely be looking at the likes of Brown, Bardsley, Sess and Gyan, but certainly wouldn't have Sess over Ben Arfa yet because I think he has the potential to be just as good, possibly even better in the long run.

I think Gyan would do really well with another decent striker pairing him, really think he could end up doing some damage, hes certainly looked off the pace so far though.

Taylor and Colo have been absolute rocks for us this season so far and I wouldn't swap them for anyone (within reason) at the moment, really seem to be forming a nice pairing.

As far as Bruce goes I really think he needs to start going 4-4-2 if he wants to get anywhere this season, Gyan just doesnt seem to be able hack it alone, you seem to create some great chances but never seem to put them away, at least another striker would double the chance of banging one in!

I think the teams will be close again personally, but once again it could go either way.

Krul is much better than Gordon, just look at his saves today. Also I'd rather have Taylor than Brown simply because Taylor is younger. There's also Cabaye who is a level above Gardner. Finally i haven't seen Sessegnon play apart from against us but Ben Arfa is ridiculously good just go on youtube and watch a few videos.

If we had a striker (goal scorer) this season and played 4-4-2 (I agree 100% wioth you there), I reckon we would have hit the ground running and a lot of the hysteria of the past 10 days or so wouldnt have surfaced. Bruce has brought this shot strom on himslef for arrogantly thinking Sess and Gyan were going to be the new Quinn and Phillips. they never were.

About Arfa and Sess. Theres only one winner at the minute and that the lad who has turned it on for the last 3 or 4 months of the 2010/11 season and the start of this one. Arfa has only played 4 games in comparison and hasnt featured yet this season. Potential is one thing. Actually doing it on the pitch is quite another. When (or if) Arfa has 6 months of consitently good performances behind him, you may well have an argument but right now, as of today, you dont.

And Leon Best? A plank that does have a habit of scoring this season for you. Will it last? I dont habve to tell you it wont. PArdew is still short of a striker as well and it'll be interesting to see who comes in from each clibs perspective and will ultimately dictate how each club does this season.

Both clubs are mid table ones at the moment. If we added a player like this Cisse (or indeed you did) then I reckon that would tip the scales in the favour of that club massively. AS for the game at Sid James? I'm not even going there yet. Lol

Sessegnon shouldn't be put up front really - that is what Bruce is desperately trying to do and failing at. Maybe play him off the striker but not up there with him. Also I'd but Best in the team before Gyan because even though Best isn't exactly a great player he still managed a better last season than Gyan goal-game ratio wise and has started looking sharper than Gyan this season. Both teams badly need a proven goal scorer right now.

**** me all the complaining I did about cross board threads which were clearly meant as WUMS.
A reasonable one starts and it gets moved to the just the Mag board. :(

Agreeing with Cest again mind, on Krul but not for Gordon.

    Agree and disagree....

Sunderland do have a stronger squad. With that comes a higher wage bill, however, Sunderland AFC have a lower turnover :S Not the best business plan. Are we worried about playing Sunderland again? Not really, as after three games vs the Mackems back in the Premier League, they have just seemed spineless. You can have good players, but without having a little bottle, they are not too scary.

You'd only have Enrique????? Bad answer. You have Mignolet (flappy), Gordon (sick note) and Westwood (Championship). Can you be serious in saying reliable goal keepers such as Harper or Krul wouldn't make your number 2 or 3 keeper.

Also, Jonas, Colo, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Taylor or Ba??? None of them are good enough for your 25 man squad?

I don't see any reason why Newcastle can't finish above Sunderland. We will have a bad spell somewhere in the season but I think we will be better than last season and the defence is more solid - all we need is a left back and a goal scorer then I think we can finish as high as 8th. Don't see why not.

I also strongly believe we will beat Sunderland at St James' as its a mental thing for the Sunderland players now IMO - although that is a long way away now so no point talking about it.

As for best 11 I think this:

    Krul
    O'Shea - Brown - Coloccini - Bardsley
    Larsson - Tiote - Cabaye - Sessegnon
    Ben Arfa
    Gyan

    SUBS
Gordon, Best, Campbell (when fit), Jonas, Gardner, R Taylor, S Taylor

So player wise - pretty even. 9 a piece in the 18 man squad :)
