As someone with 3 separate issues that could be fatal, no actual horrible symptoms though bizarrely, my approach is to monitor but then forget about it. Nothing brave here.
I made myself read Lord of the Rings but honestly didn't enjoy it. It was quite a few years ago when I was travelling on the London Underground (not that that matters!) but back then I was in the "finish at all costs" camp.
Interesting. That’s a book I’ve devoured many times over the years. I always seem to find something new in it (the sign of a good book to me), although I’ll admit that the opening section about the history of the ring is hard going. Once one gets to the party, though, it’s off and running. Just shows how we have different tastes. I was told that Luke Rhinehart’s The Dice Man was the greatest book, as well as A Confederacy of Dunces (John Kennedy Toole) and I’ve tried, and failed, to get into those at all.
Lucky that we don't all like the same things I disliked the books so much that I only caught up with the films a couple of years ago when the trilogy was on TV over Christmas. I don't particularly want to re-watch the films but definitely don't want to read the books again. I did enjoy The Hobbit more, both the book and the films.
Why do they make kidney food for cats unpalatable so they won't eat it? Mine was eating it mixed in with normal so I ordered a load and now he's going off it. The vet wants him on it 100% but there's no chance of that. It's seems to be a common reaction by cats and It doesn't seem to matter which one you try. He's had pretty much all the different brands now.
Have recently been to the film sites of lord of the rings and the hobbits. We actually walked through Hobbiton including ferodo and Bilbo’s home, not forgetting Samwise Ganges Maritol home. I have read the books and seen the films and am addicted to both.
I bought the set of books about 16 years ago or around the films were being made. I still haven’t taken the wrapping off the set. I just can’t bring myself to read them. Mental Block with fantasy fiction books. Not read Harry Potter, GOT or anything like them.
Ours absolutely love this one: http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/...HqkbYYDXQeF-cYlm34bV_Pled8oh3EyIaAh0nEALw_wcB Only one of the cats is a stone-former but they all love it and have all got fitter with improved coats etc. since they’ve been eating it. Highly recommended!
Thanks for that. We're trying to keep to wet food because of the water content being better for his kidney problem. It's not stones unfortunately but kidney failure. He is 18 so it's pretty common at that age. Luckily his appetite is still good or it would be a complete nightmare. I'm mixing it with senior food. He's been eating Royal Canin chicken but seems to be turning his nose up at that a bit now. He's already gone off beef and tuna flavours. Hills and Purina are no goes too. I still have Kattovit and he really likes some trays of food (German I think). I may have to change his biscuits so I'll bear this one in mind. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, he's not a huge biscuit eater. Still the dog is getting some nice toppings for his meals so the rejects aren't going to waste.
I enjoyed my time at the great escape cafe. When I say enjoy, I spent more time on the toilet rather than the comfy chair by the fire. Job done, I'm moving out of the cafe and don't want to come back again in a hurry. Next April and May I am going to book into the Amazing champions league hotel. Anyway can we have a change of thread title?
