None of them. Love Ainsworth but I think it is too soon and a big jump from Wycombe to QPR. Different mentality at that level. Can you imagine if he lost 6 on the trot at QPR? Maybe one day in the future.
We need someone that is technically better than Hollow and knows the division. I also believe that FFP will be sorted and money will be available to the new bloke.

Really not sure that any additional funds will be made available to whoever in manager come August, we will continue to be borderline breaching FFP for a few years yet, what is it losses of £30 odd million over 3 years, we're in that region already so some will have to be sold to fund any acquisitions.........it will continue to be be a cost cutting exercise which is why I'm kind of surprised that Holloway was dumped as he would have been cheaper than his potential replacement especially if it is McClaren.......

That should also tell you that they know something we don't and they now believe they can move forward. TF recently said that FFP wouldn't be a problem. He also said that he would be making decisions that some fans wouldn't like. I don't believe in all the conspiracy crap. I do believe however that this whole thing has been planned for some time. Getting rid of Hollow tells me that there may be either a breakthrough with the training ground/Stadium or FFP. That want a proper manager to move us forward and challenge and sadly Hollow would never have been able to do that even if he had Messi.

Accept that Ellers but FFP doesn't just finish once the original case dating back to 2013/2014 or whenever it was is decided, it's an ongoing thing. TF has already said that the owners would settle any original FFP fine so that's sorted, any ongoing FFP implications that's another story and the club can not breach the FFP limits again hence some careful money management is required over the coming years as the club is close to the limit.......

Not sure what the training ground/stadium has anything to do with getting a new manager.

I don't think they would have fired him if he was ill.

Actually RTID that is slightly what I was wondering.

And yes Durbar...not sacked but he may have left by "mutual agreement"

No one has ever been as brutal as to say he was sacked (yes I know it is words...but little nuances can mean quite a lot)

    A new dawn.
A good crop of young talented players. A future training ground....Would you want Hollow to be leading them?

I really think people should listen to what TF has been saying about the future looking brighter.
"As this club matures sometimes painful decisions have to be made".
He said these comments weeks ago and is now reiterating them. Hollow was a dead man walking weeks ago.
Holloway is not the face of QPR in the boards eyes.

Training ground has not been approved yet and stadium is years away. A new manager would not be persuaded to join because of that and anyway whoever it is is likely be gone by Christmas.

It's not about (the stadium/training ground) being ready now it's about image and of course, the most important thing is the football, sadly Hollow fails on both.
Listen to a few of his airline interviews and you will see how he wants things to be. He always bangs on about starting with 2 planes and now he has 200. Well, he wants the same with QPR, I started off with Hollow and now I have a proper manager. He loves a big name and something that will push his brand out there.

Surely they would have said that and not sacked him.

The Brum game was when we met up for Brix's memorial in the C&S and if I remember it rightly it was a bloody awful game........tedious does not come close to describing the football played that day......

Ellers, you wander away from my original post, all I said was Im not sure a potential new trianing ground or stadium would be a reason for a manager to join.

I'm just wondering about how to manage expectations for next season. Is TF & Co going all out for a promotion push a la Wolves this season spending recklessly again in the hope of buying their way to the promised land of Premier League cash or are they prepared to be patient for another couple of season and build gradually?

The problem with the latter is that the relegated sides from the EPL are coming down with such a huge cash advantage that it will be difficult to compete with them, even though Sunderland were rubbish this season they received £90 odd million for finishing bottom of the EPL the previous season. There was a piece in the Sunday Times yesterday saying that the side finishing 10th in the EPL, Newcastle will pick up something like £120m in prize money, that's £50m more than Liverpool would get for winning the Champions League........how do we compete with that?

You have a good memory, Tramore, and now you mention it, I remember it. Question is - dull, low scoring football that gets us into the top 6, or flamboyant, inconsistent stuff that keeps us in mid-table?
