The worst that can happen is we don't appoint Hughes or anyone else until after the WC, are linked with several players but end up signing a couple of DMs with potential and an 18 year old keeper. Gabbi and Shane move on, as does Bertrand on the last day of the window, and the new manager, who doesn't speak English, takes til Christmas to get his ideas across.

We could avoid all that, of course...

 

I wasn't clear, I meant what's the worst that could happen if we do appoint Hughes. My comment makes sense if I add that.

Meh. The worst that can happen if we appoint Hughes is he sucks, wastes a ton of money on ****ty transfers and then we get relegated. Maybe he runs over a couple of young Saints fans with his car. Punches an old man in the stands.

Why are we making up random “worst case” scenarios?

Football is massively unpredictable.. Anything can happen.. Like Swansea being more horrendous than us for one.

 

True. However, there are some pundits whose opinion is worth listening to; then there's Ian Wright and Paul Merson; both quite entertaining but both consistently, unfailingly, utterly wrong. Every ****ing time. Therefore, mockery is appropriate in this case

 

Oh I'm not saying pundits are wrong.. I often have to sit through Danny Murphy and Jenas on MotD and think to myself, You get paid for that..

I'm usually wondering whether head-butting the TV is worth it when Murphy opens his mouth.. As for Jenas, He just copies the ****e out of his co pundit.

I'm not surprised.. It's hard to go to a game for 90Minutes whilst under the stewardship of MP...

But the past 8 weeks, I've enjoyed MotD, We've done the right things.. Played the basics Well and done okay.. I've been very encouraged.
