Battered 2nd half apparently were M City. Not looking good is it really. How much have they spent and how many points so far has that gained them since before the billions took control?

Its like 25million a point lmao. Joke club.

You have to remmeber the didnt do a chelsea at first, when chelsea became rich they bought great players, when city did they bought rubbish to begin with like lescott and barry, useless players IMO.

And mancini tinkers to much. Players like Silva, Tevez, Y. Toure have to play week in week out if they wanna win things IMO.

If I were them I would go

    Hart

    Boateng= Kompany - K. Toure - Kolorov

    Milner - Y.toure - De jong - Silva

    Dzeko or Balotelli - Tevez

    And stick to it.

True, chelsea were very clever in it but they also did a lot of buying the 'in' players at the time. Thing is for them it worked, for city, its not.

I would play Given in goal for a while aswell, hart seems a little low on confidence and maybe giving him a rest may benefit them.

I agree with your team from then tho, even then it doesnt strike me with any fear though. Its just poor. So much better could of been bought for much less money.

It also took until mourinho came in till they started winning things, which to be fair was in aramovichs second season.

Hart has looked a bit dodgy of late.

Out of city's team I would take Milner, Y.Toure and Silva. The latter two have been excellent imo for city. Didnt think Yaya was that great but since he has come to city and been more of a box to box player rather than DM at barca he has looked quality. Silva I thought we should have bought last year, but we didnt go for him but he has looked every inch a brilliant player, the sort that can pull strings from the middle and create from nothing. Milner I thought was quality last year for villa but we were never going to get him when city started sniffing round him. All 3 would improve our midfield.

Would actually probably take one of the goalies aswell consdiering VDS. I actually think we might make a cheeky bid for given, not that gary cook would ever sell to us though.

There defence isnt great bar kompany, although kolorov does look to have talent and seems to be improving.

And there attack is pretty good. Tevez I still think is great tbh. Dzeko has a quality record but were not short of strikers who can only play up front. Balotelli has immense talent, but an attitude problem, he would have been good for us as he played on the right of a front 3 for inter so could have done well for us when we need to play 4-5-1. But I am not sure even fergie could tame that beast. Shame as if he knuckled down he would be one hell of a player.

There back up players are not great. But lest we forget, when the are in the champions league, there will be few players they wont be able to get.

Yes they have some good players but as a team they dont install any fear. Individuals can only do so much and theres a huge gap between the good and the bad. Its sort of the same for us but we have alot more overall quality and a far better team spirit.

I think we may bid for given, nothing to lose in doing so really so why not. Cheap and top quality goalkeeper should be someone we are interested in.

Quick word on Tevez, hes been better for city than he was for us imo.

That, to my mind, is the main difference between the two. Prior to Mourinho joining Chelsea they seemed to have the "Oh, he's a good player, let's buy him" mentality that City have now. After JM joined they started going for players like Ferreira, Drogba and Essien, that weren't global stars or really big names, but that JM knew would add to his team. When City go in for players now, they don't seem to have a clear idea of how they will fit into their system. I haven't heard a single coherent argument from a City fan about how Dzeko is going to improve the balance or dynamics of their team, only comments like "he's going to be a great player" and "he'll play really well with Tevez". And surprise surprise, they still don't have a great deal of balance in their team as a whole.
