I think Henderson is decent backup. Agree though. Milner Is very useful. Moreno- no, brings nothing to the team. Not even good enough for backup.

Henderson and Milner both deserve to stay purely for the effort they've put in this season. They've been so important and it often gets overlooked.

Even if they don't start next season it's vital to keep them as they understand Klopps philosophy.

No way will we just buy a whole new midfield 3 and start them, they'll slowly be integrated. Keita will have pre-season and should slot straight in - the others (if there are others) will be like AOC and have to force their way in.

If we win the CL it would be hard to argue against keeping our current midfielders in the first 11. It's the pinnacle of club football.

we are 4th in table. we have to improve. we have had a nice run in cl but we cannot confuse beating city in quarters after foot groups and Porto draw with a 38 game consistent league campaign to actually challenge.

    we have

vvd and Robertson in back line for sure, gas developing
we have kieta and maybe one of the others in midfield
    we have the front 3.

we should be buying to improve the quality and the guys who we have fight for the place by improving

I think we can all say lovren isn't up to it.

I don't believe any top forward would think they can't at least take manes slot.

there's scope for one player in every line imo

    It's simple.

You buy with the idea to improve your first 11 and let them fight it out in training.

Only case this doesn't happen is when teams need a back up keeper.

That's what happens anyway...its just whether the transfer works out or not. It's not science, it really is simple.

yep but with the proviso you sometimes buy a player to give you a different option to your existing first choice set up.

True. However the same still applies, you're trying to better your first 11.

I guess there are exceptions.. Chelsea for example were looking for a plan B so bought Giroud as Crouch told them to do one.

mind you they got lucky since imo Giroud is a better than good PL striker & right now should be their first choice.

Well, Jorginho is off to City in all probability and we've not made an offer for Fekir yet despite the news reports (although we have looked at him a lot this season). Ceballos is still a top target for Klopp too.

I think we'll be looking at:
Hendo at Ceballos as the deeper midfield role.
Keita starting most games, but hopefully we'll have Milner to rotate with him.
Fekir (hopefully) and Ox rotating the other spot.

Can can do one. Grujic will likely be off. Lallana I can't see leaving, but he'll be a squad role if he ever gets fit, decent option to have.
    That is a strong midfield.

We desperately need more cover out wide though, Salah and Mane out and there is no one to replace them

Itruly believe TAA will develop as a midfielder. His delivery is Beckham-esque, even closing in on Molby.

In a different sentence. Thought the second sentence meant his crossing was already closing in on Beckham/Molby standard.
