After last Tuesday family have made clear they'd not be keen to put up with the emotional, shouty man again. So pub.
Also I have sinned. Placed £10 bet (insurance) on us going down. Forgive me, but if we're relegated the buggers can pay for a season ticket next year.

    I predict City 3 - Saints 1

Mate, I make a point of never giving up hope, even in the most hopeless situations; but even I hold no hope for England.

    Unless you meant cricket?

I was leaning more to the fact that our very own no7 has been posting 'its the hope that kills' for about two weeks now, on every thread, on what seems like every hour of the day. Its not the hope that is killing me, its the phrase!

He can only be clinging on to life through that 1% chance of relegation by this point. Surely confirmed survival must be lethal?!

I wanted to be put out of my misery weeks ago. Let's get that 'R' after our name in the table and move on!! Because as we all know it is the hope that kills:bandit:

Phew, glad it wasn't possible to throw in the towel or I would have done it. Also glad that we don't definitely need a result....now that would have killed us.

I too, like many others have an insurance policy out on this - £10 at 150/1 (and an earlier £20 at 16/1)

Don't feel bad or dirty doing it. After the season they have put us through, it is only right.

This is a bet, that I would be very disappointed in winning though.

    COYS, 2-2 :)

Like we don't have fans that would post exactly the same if the roles were reversed. I know, because I've been sitting beside them at away games.

I might like a team relegated (let's call them Pompey for the sake of argument:bandit:) but never at the cost of Saints. If a Saints win would keep Pompey up, I would still want Saints to win. And I expect Stoke fans will feel the same if they get a win today. Not being bottom may seem a small prize, but still worth winning after a terrible season.

Was going to watch it at the pub but it's on Sky Sports Mix, whatever that is. My local is only showing two irrelevant matches, that no one wants to see. So it's computer and Final Score. No nails left to chew anyway.

Sadly all teams have them. I'd never want Saints to lose just to spite someone though (not just someone in Stokes case, the manager which has got them their highest ever finishes in the PL)...plus they've got worse and dropped further since he was fired. Just seems a strange hatred to have from the outside.

Being a native of North London, I vividly remember the year Spurs lost to Man U on the last day of the season, handing them the title at the expense of Arsenal. My High Sreet was full of jubilant Spurs fans drunkenly mocking any stray gooners all that night...

I recall wondering at the time, how you could celebrate your own team losing like that? I still don't get it.

I bet they'd rather Spurs had won, but were having fun making the best of it....like it was a plan, so they hadn't really lost.
