    I think Gabbi deserves a start. Held the ball up with his back to goal as well as anyone when he came on, should be confident after his goal and his movement could cause City something to think about.

    Yeah, I agree with that. Little spring in his step, hoping to hear his song. I'm a Austin fan, but he hasn't half huff n puffed from the first minute recently. Maybe a sub appearance will help him a bit.

    I know that you said this in your first post on this thread, however I just added some reasons, presumably similar, as to why.

    As Black and Helen say below Austin is still a useful impact player, though maybe less so against City.

    JWP is not great against crosses and it was space on this side that helped Arsenal beat us.

    I would be happier with Long that side.

    Gabbiadini is a possibility, however how well can he keep the ball. He is a finisher but will we be in their box much.

    I might go 3-5-2/5-3-2 with Tadic and Long in front of Lemina, Romeu and Højbjerg.

    Just play Long, McCarthy and 9 defensive players, as long as we don't lose by more than 5 we should be OK. Hoof it to Long to chase all day and sit in our own box, take the 3-0 loss and move on to our holidays.

    Just watched City v Brighton highlights.
    We need to fight for everything in the first 20 minutes, they are so dangerous. No point just sitting back and defending, they will score for sure. We need to respect them with some tough love,

    I'd like to say he was really positive, but he talked too much about listening for other results for my liking. He also said he was happy with the focus, and we're ready to go again. Happy with how its going, no decisions on his future & Rooney shouldn't go to the USA yet as he has more years to give. Fell asleep at that part. <laugh>
