From what I gather, inconsistency. He's played 30 games, scoring just 5 times.

To be fair Nin, I think we need someone as well as Ralls - look waht happened to us when Ralls got injured.

For me, leavers would be all the loans (apart from Bryson), Kadeem, Pilks (contract up anyway), Halford, Connolly (is that 5 times he has been in a side getting out of the Championship? - must be a record), Murphy, Camp, Healey, Kennedy, O'Keefe, Bogle, Gonzo (can't spell his name but you know who I mean) and Meite. Question marks over Damour who would find it very tough in the Prem and Tomlin - will he stay or will he go to - Forest - FACT?

And what about Gunnar now we are up?

That leaves 16 from this season's whole squad plus Gunnar if staying (Page 59 of Reading programme). Assuming we don't sell any if the right money is on the table. Need a few more than 5 or 6 in.

Going to be a busy summer, best leave the revolving door on open.

Is it only me who would be quite happy to see Gunnar leave ?

He's been a good player for us but not sure he could handle the Prem add to that he is open to injuries I'd let him go.

Warnock said he’s going to sit down with his agent soon stating if he’s greedy he’ll go but if not then he stays.

So with regards to Gunner is it better the devil you know or can City find someone similar but better? I’d like him to stay though given his past commitment to the club but he may use this and his World Cup as a lever to get a lucrative deal elsewhere; if so you couldn’t blame him.

We're going to need depth in the middle of the park and we're going to need leaders.
    Gunnar gives you both.

Cardiff look likely to sign Newcastle's England youth goalkeeper Paul Woolston after the 19-year-old impressed while on trial. Woolston will be released by the Magpies this summer. (Sun)

Not a bad idea to get a young keeper.

It's sad that another teams discarded young keeper is better than one we already have. If we were in the 1st or 2nd division I'd get it, but not with the lofty heights we've now achieved.

As an aside, it's always fascinated me as to where keepers come from. Nearly every team buys in their keeper, but they have to come from somewhere. Butlands career has been well documented but he's changed hands a couple times.

I can't ever remember a youth product coming through at Cardiff. Even Dibble wasn't a youth product I don' think.

We need a proven Premier League goal scorer and whilst he has been a bit patchy in terms of form Gray has always struck me as a good finisher. Watford have really struggled as a team this season and I’m not surprised his form has dipped. If there’s one person who id back to get the best out of him it would be Warnock <ok>

Having said that I agree Remote - I wouldn’t pay anything more than 10 for him

I like Gray but would Warnock pay that type of money? I doubt it.

Ummm...we won't be getting a Prem standard striker for less than 15-20 million...and that's being optimistic.

You could say the same about championship strikers given the money that was spent by some clubs last year.

    Didn't help them though....:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

One thing you can say about Warnock his track record on signing strikers at City is well let’s be honest, open to debate.

Bogle obviously didn’t cut it as he was sent out on loan.

Jury is out on Ward as he didn’t play a lot and we don’t know if he would have got better if he wasn’t injured. (Scored a belter though at Forest and what turned out to be a crucial equaliser at Fulham)

    Madine was a disappointment.

Wildschut who technically was a striker was not much cop either.

How about Mitrovic if Fulham don't make it up?

Even if they do we could still try gazump them if Newcastle are willing to sell???
