Everton sign Rooney for free, and are selling him for £12 million. no wonder they said they won't stand in his way.
Don't get me wrong. There's a fair old difference between playing these guys on occasion, or for a short run to cover for injuries & suspensions, as opposed to them picking up a regular Championship berth. I've watched them at Thorpe Arch & have been happy with their progress this year. The only one of these guys that surprised me was Hosannah. I didn't think he was quite ready, but it appears that he was. The last thing I want to see is these guys picking up a permanent berth & being burned out in the same way we've hurt Vieira & Phillips' progress. Btw, by 'these guys', I mean Pearce, Hosannah, Edmondson, & the 4 CBs who played today. I would even include Nessi at CB (but not at DM, his natural position, oddly enough). Some of them have already appeared for the first team & acquitted themselves well. They took their chances. But I'm not getting carried away. If anything, I'd be over-protective for them in PH's position.
Fulham loseing at Derby,if they get knocked out,Mitrovic from Newcastle would be a good buy.or the Chelsea loan lad Abraham, who has struggled in the prem but would be great again in the championship.
Hey, always prefer to hear from the people that see them close up so in no way was I suggesting I know better about them stepping up than you, my observation was more not to add pressure to the young lads (you know to expect Edmondson to be the new Tony Yeboah in his first season or 'he'll never make it')
No, these guys have a long way to go before they're first choice regulars. Well I hope, in as much as I don't want them to burn out. Now & again you'll get someone that doesn't burn out. I can't recall Alan Smith suffering that way, but he did have an exceptional desire to play for Leeds, so perhaps played through it by being strong mentally. Can't think of any others, tbh. I think Mowatt was our most recent burnout - bigstyle!
Fulham lose two consecutive games Can't afford not to win their 3rd game, still in the mix at 1-0 down
17th of May till 9th of August. With loans allowed till 31 August. So by my reckoning we will release Pearce on the 18th May, sell Saiz and Pontus on 8thAugust and make our Burmese loan signings on August 30th. We will receive at least £5 mill more in fees than we spend... AGAIN
Good Morning Glory thank you for thatI shall be away on that date .We are going to St Annes for a few days to celebrate my 75 the day of the dam busters Pearce will already have his contract AR is not stupid Saiz seemed to me to be a lot more relaxed playing in Burma lets hope he has taken heed Mike
Have a good break. Have a great birthday. I fly off to Spain next Saturday to see what if any building has taken place. Had no update photos so hoping for the best and fearing the worst, I am going to install a solar powered web cam so I can keep an eye on the lazy feckers from back here.
