He can't tackle, pass, run, shoot or even encourage his colleagues so why the **** is Leadbitter STILL in the starting line up! It beggars belief that he is even being picked let alone ****ing Captain! <doh> Is he PJ's love child or something? 18,000 Town fans yesterday could all tell you that he is just not up to it and is a liability. He was at fault for the Leeds goal as he just didn't put in any kind of challenge on Snodgrass allowing him to get his cross in. I was watching him yesterday and he just wasn't interested at all. We cant afford a player like him being in the midfield when our defence is low on confidence. The number of times he gave the ball away and made no effort to win it back was just shocking.

It was no coincidence that our Midfield looked a hell of a lot better once Leadbitter was subbed and replaced by Jimmy. A less than fit Jimmy is miles better than that clueless idiot. I just hope and pray that yesterday was the last time I will ever see Leadbitter in a Town shirt. Please PJ see some sense and just sell him to the first club who is mug enough to buy him. We can't carry passengers on the good ship Town!

Agreed. We have no place for Leadfucker in midfield now. Goodbye.

Do you think, given his popularity last year, that JB might make a good skipper??

Jimmy made the difference yesterday. When he came on he galvanised the team and the crowd. He showed Leadboots how to do it!

It could help him to settle down! It's an old army trick to give a stripe to a trouble-maker! <ok>

I wouldn't have him as captain, purely because I think Andrews is better choice (even if he is only on loan). That said, if Kennedy is going to be a regular fixture in our side this season, he should be a shoe in for captain.

Thanks for your first season Leadbitter: now clear off to Pompey!

Although he is our most talented footballer I dont think JB is captain material. He's seem to enjoy himself and cause too much mischief to be a true leader.

I'm with tractorbhoy, why disrupt JB game by giving him an extra burdan. Andrews should be given the armband & Leadtwat the boot!

I've been going on about how dreadful Leadbitter is from day 1.

A horrific player, we were well and truly rinsed.

Just what does he do thats sooooo good + above other players ?

I prefered Norris all day long. At least with Norris you know what to expect, yes a bit of a headless chicken however always gave 100% put a tackle in, not a bad pass and could score.

Leadbitter - passes backwards and sideways, for a defensive midfielder his positioning is horrific. He offers the defence zero protection, shoots on site from 30 yards rarely with a good effort, woeful set pieces, not the quickest.

Was so irritated when we signed him then had people saying " good signing " at the time to add insult to my opinion. I'll be so damn happy when he's gone.

I wish we'd snapped up Ryan Green from Dagenham. Different position, however the lad has ability.

Bullard+ Andrews + Bowyer HAVE to be ahead of Grant " useless " Leadbitter.

Westlake agree 100% about your assessment of leadbitter but Norris' footballing ability was next to nothing aswell. For all his energy and willingness he was hardly a talented footballer.

Thats true tracto, but he did score 10 goals for us last season. I would certainly have Norris over Leadboots anyday, although thats not saying much!

Norris or Leadtwat? Bit like saying would you rather have your head half its normal size or twice its normal size.

" For all his energy and willingness he was hardly a talented footballer. "

Every team needs a Norris / a Matt Richards etc.

With Bullard / Bowyer's mobility, someone like Norris alongside would have been good

    - Think of it this way - how the hell was Norris going to do well alongside that limited rubbish idiot ? Ever thought he was a headless chicken as he was covering the ground Leadbitter was supposed to be ?

For a defensive or safe midfielder, ^^^ the above are my views on that absolute donkey. We were had.

i can see benefits for large or small nappers, i personally would go for half sized napper as it would enhance my physique ( make me look more stocky). Excellent question.
