While it's unlikely that Swansea can turn it around and stay up, it was extremely unlikely Leicester would win the league (5000-1). Yes, not similar scenarios, but the point is there is a possibility and we need to stay focused and still have a job to do because it is no guarantee we are safe just yet.

Whilst I can't see us losing the GD advantage (except in my worst nightmares) I think it is important to keep it tight....very easy to start shipping goals if you go a few down early. The team must remain focused and not start planning their post-match celebrations....I would be as happy as a slug in lettuce if we were 0-0 at half-time, because Hughes seems to be good at playing the second half.

I think you can lay us for the drop @1.01, which effectively means 1/999 on, to stay up. £999 to win £1 in other words, but not the other way round.

In reality, Stoke will be looking towards next season, and how to get promoted. They will see us a more dangerous rival; decent squad, resurgence in form, experienced manager in place. Swansea, by contrast, are managerless and with a squad of less quality.

Would be daft for Stoke to prefer us going down with them.
