    Big Sam.

Allardyce has responded the the talk of Wayne Rooney heading to the MLS.

" I don't get involved with anything regarding transfers in or out or negotiations. I know there appears to be an interest from DC United but where Wayne lies in it I cant tell you until I've spoken to him.

"If the player wants to go - if any players wants to leave - I'm comfortable.

"But let's get this right: Wayne Rooney has not asked to leave and neither has he had a confrontation with me."

Hold on, hasn’t he already identified his players for next season. Someone is telling lies here!

Apparently he'll stay if fat sham goes.
So does Rooney have the power to say who manages the club? Or should Everton **** him off anyway?

If £1 of "brand value" equates to £1 on the club balance sheet, then it would.

It means **** all in real terms for supporters, it's just a reassurance league for those at the top that they're sitting on a goldmine.

    Not so.
You sacked Rodgers when he went full Brenton.
Spurs sacked AVB when PL form was nosediving.

The issue is to what extent certain clubs can
"throw the baby out with the bath water" (ie what
degree of failure can be excused before it could
really affect the club as a whole) .

The "Chelsea model" (as Pat Nevin called it) meant
that Roman could ditch managers on a whim because
funds etc would always be available for the successor.

Now that UEFA FFP is biting them, and Citeh are now
the biggest Sugga Daddy FC, it will be interesting to
see what they do in the summer. Past form dictates
that Conte should be sacked if Chelsky finish 5th.

weirdly for once it looks like Chelsea might be considering not sacking a manager ,if they fail to make top 4, only for the manager to possibly walk away anyway <laugh>

Their mob claims Conte has been hamstrung by their
    "administrative" staff, who are :

    - Roman cronies
    - Football idiots

    therefore :

    1. Conte did not get the players he wanted

    2. his response has been 'sulk mode' management
with the intent of getting sacked (and the standard
    Chelsky payoff) .

Always encouraging when your manager has no involvement with who is brought or sold... can’t see that being a very good transfer model!

Don't know whats happened at chavs. Got rid of Costa, isolated Luiz and signed some average players that wouldn't look out of place in a Hodgson team

does seem a bit odd doesn't it. Almost looks ,from the outside ,as deliberate sabotage just to prove a point.

Think we got your mum in to do our recruitment

    <laugh>

God knows who was making the decisions.

    Well Costa was Conte.

Drinkwater and Barkley were horrendous signings.bakayoko too but at least he came in with a reputation from Monaco.

Barkley and Drinkwater you knew what you were going to get!

That’s sams wording for you. But in another interview he tells he has backing for next season. Sam isn’t staying.

Barkley has made a lot of money for his agent by joining Chelsea. He should have stayed

Not playing for Chelsea hasn't harmed his reputation as much as being associated with this season's Everton would
