The most hilarious possible finish to season

    1. Spurs draw midweek. are level with lfc but still in 4th

    2. Cheslea win midweek. are also level but in 5th

    3. Cheslea win and spurs draw... leaving LFC to decide whether we want to finish 3rd and win or just draw and laugh at spurs.

    Now...

I'd rather cheslea draw midweek and spurs lose but.. well.. thats not as funny as watching the spuds and chavs have thier hopes raised and dashed several times during week.

Spurs missing out on top4 would be the funniest result, but honestly, I don't care as long as we qualify.

Spurs and LFC must be the masters at ****ing things up . Simply unbelievable that one of us could miss out after such a big gap. Chelsea should have had no hope by week 34. Both teams dropping points like some death wish. Having said that we will have Huddersfield tonight putting 11 men in their penalty area for 93 minutes and its all over. Phewwww

then wonder why we are so far behind first never mind scraping for 4th

LFC's Premier League final day permutations confirmed

Liverpool now know they need just one more point to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this weekend.
    English Premier League
Pos Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts
    3 Tottenham Hotspur 37 22 8 7 69 32 37 74
    4 Liverpool 37 20 12 5 80 38 42 72
    5 Chelsea 37 21 7 9 62 35 27 70
Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night left the Reds with a two-point advantage over the fifth-placed Blues ahead of the final round of fixtures on Sunday afternoon.
Jürgen Klopp’s side host Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield, where a win or draw will confirm a place in the top four for the second successive season – and with it qualification for the 2018-19 Champions League.
Chelsea wrap up their league campaign at Newcastle United and with Liverpool’s goal difference superior by a margin of 15, only an unprecedented turn of events in the north east could possibly deny the Reds if they draw against Brighton.
Klopp’s men can still finish third in the Premier League, too. To do so, they must win at Anfield and Tottenham Hotspur would have to fail to beat Leicester City at Wembley.

I think you'll find having watched it the team were sideways and back passing far too much and too slow to get the ball to them in space.

Our issue without ox and others is that the 3 might hold the ball well but they don't risk it playing forward fast.

We have less space and had v cheslea ten men back snuffing out and chance of space to play in.

In short we had to snatch at the few opportunities available

To suggest suddenly they are all selfish is silly talk

We should really aim for 3 points against Brighton just in case Chelsea score 20 against Newcastle.

we will win this well if the scientific measire of recovery time means anything.

Brighton play midweek. we rest... we will dominate and win by 3 or 4.

Salah is missing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain , his goal draught has come at a time Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is injured.
We seems not to have recognised the importance of Chamberlain until he is injured.

    don't forget coutinho....misses him too.

people says lots of stuff about coutinho dribbling but the reality is he plays gorgeous assist passes to salah as well.

what we have imo is largely a square ball passing midfield that just leaves salah making the same runs but getting no chances.

it takes two to pass. one to make the run and one to make the pass.

It is frustrating that at one point it looked like Salah was well on track to smashing the PL goal record.

Now he's sitting on 31 goals and one more fruitless game and not only will he not break the record he won't even equal it.

Imagine adding Keita and Fekir to our midfield. Two midfielders who can pass forward, dribble and support the attack.

bit of balance also needed. imo wijnaldum sometimes brings this by being able to hold ball not just give it away.

Keita presses extremely well and wins the ball a number of times. He’s a better Gini. And Fekir has great strength and keeps onto the ball as well.

Both players will give us more control IMO. They can hold onto the ball and don’t **** themselves whenever they’re pressed.

Most importantly, both players have an edge to their game. Keita can be a nasty little ****er and Fekir wants to win (as much as Suarez used to).

I hear what you’re saying about balance because both are aggressive players who love to attack. This is why I would love to upgrade Henderson with a proper DM - Ndidi or Diawara would be a better fit than Neves it Jorginho
